EDUCATION is my focus 100% and I need your support, please.
My name is Andres Mejia Vallejo. I'm a Colombian actor, athlete and environmental activist. Life has granted me with a life-changing opportunity to contribute to our future. I've been selected to compete in an international competition in November 26th in the Dominican Republic called Mister Tourism World. It's an International competition about Sustainable Tourism and safe traveling. And I became super passionate about the topic.
BETTER EARTH CAMPAIGN is an environmental campaign that focuses on re-educating the world about sustainable ways of living. About little steps we can take to help better our earth. I believe education is key when it comes to good and bad habits, and that's why I'm so passionate about this, because I see all the great benefits that I can achieve through my social media by simply sharing what I'm learning from experts in the topic. That's why I'm raising money, because I want to keep sharing this knowledge and making a positive impact and preparing to WIN this competition in behalf of everyone who believes in a prosperous tomorrow.
This campaign is important to me because in the short period of my research I can already see the changes I can take, and everyone else, to help the world. It's very inspiring to me and I can see the light at the end of the tunnel. And being able to share what I'm learning and continue to learn about sustainability is a breath of fresh air. I'm preparing with my heart and your support can definitely help me achieve my goal, winning and reeducating.
I'm asking for 4 thousand dollars (and I want everyone to know that this competition is costing me much more than that). But I don't want to be greedy and want to be able to raise something. I just need some help so I can stay focused on the competition and try to go and win. Every year the competitors usually have a national director or an organization helping them with sponsors and fees, but I don't. I don't have any financial support or any support at all aside from my social media followers which have responded really great about this project.
Winning this competition means being able to expand my message across the world even more!! It means to keep re-educating myself and hopefully encouraging others to do so as well. As I see great value in this opportunity. The money will be used to pay for:
-Enrollment fees for the competition in the Dominican Republic.
- Plane tickets to Colombia then to the DR (I live in Los Angeles).
-Online research, video production and online media campaign (Education)
-Wardrobe (I am trying to find as much sustainable wardrobe as I can).
-Stole and other details related to the competition.
-Piano: I purchased a piano to study 3 songs for the talent show of the competition
-And of course MORAL SUPPORT!
I want to feel like I'm being supported, that people believe in me as I'm giving my very, very best.
As I said in the video: "the more I reeducate myself the more tools I have to reeducate the world"
I will use that money to do exactly what I'm promising; share the message, learn and share and continue to make a positive impact on today's society. I believe we need more people that care for the environment so stumbling upon this opportunity just makes me so happy, so happy to do something positive for our planet. I LOVE being able to share the message and getting others interested and instructed about it!
I see all the positive changes that my research and online campaign are making. My closest circle of people is already starting to adjust their behavior to instead adopt a more ecological/sustainable way of living. And that's my main focus, to get as many people as I can to take action and take small steps into a more sustainable future (like brining our own metallic cup every time we visit a coffee shop + rinsing off food left overs from plastic containers before tossing them in the recycling bin + keeping your ow grocery bags in your car so no more plastic bags are used the shopping. AND MANY MORE basic things we can all do.
The world needs these kind of campaigns now more than ever.
I kindly ask you to share my campaign and help me reach 4 k at least. This money is for the future of our planet, and so that people like me can focus 100% on finding more ways to BETTER the EARTH. This can be beneficial for your children, yourself and of course for the future of our earth. Im just trying to re-educate myself and inspire others to do so.
