Bodhi's Garden Sustainable Life Project
GREETINGS!
Thank you for taking the time to stop by and check out our campaign. This is the Bodhi's Garden Sustainable Life Project. We are: Yorkys (myself-mom), Sergio (dad), Bodhi (6 yrs old), Enso (1 yr old). We currently live in Miami, Florida.
THE PROJECT
This project is to help fund our mission to be on the road to a more sustainable life and share our experiences and knowledge with other families that are considering simplifying their lives to a more sustainable, more conscious way of life via community building events and permaculture based workshops. I currently work with various grassroots local organizations and will continue to collaborate with them to further educate. These workshops will include basic gardening for growing your own food, delicious and nutritious recipes (soil to plate) plant based and locally sourced, how the food is grown, what healing properties these foods possess. Medicinal and culinary herb classes: how to grow these herbs and their properties to promote illness prevention and strengthen the immune system.
And simple recipes for self care products such as soap, deodorant, toothpaste and much more to keep the family happy and healthy. Our environment is filled with toxicity and it's so very important to be aware of what we're putting on the largest organ of our body. I've researched and made these products for my family. All are gentle enough for our baby as well as effective.

THE FAMILY
We are a family of six but the our adult children have moved on so it's just the four of us now. We try to live our lives in balance with our environment, as much as one can in a city like Miami. We are active in our local community, promote local and small business. I am a vendor at a local farmers market. Bodhi's Garden Delights is the name of the organic skincare & wellness line that I handcraft and sell at this market. All items are made with the most natural and organic ingredients. Bodhi helps label, blend and sell at the market as well.
We also participate and many other local artisan festivals and community events. This craft is easily done from anywhere, and will part of the workshop curriculum. We would love to grow our business and connect with community as we grow. (Some of our special products will be sent to our donors just to say THANK YOU!) I handcraft these products with
Bodhi is currently attending a local Montessori school that he loves with great friends. He is a huge part and inspiration of everything we do. He is a bright 6 year old full of life and imagination and a very busy mind. He's eager to learn and loves teaching other kids what he knows. Bodhi's grown up in the garden and came name almost every plant in the garden. Enso is one year old and he's the joy of the household. He makes everyone laugh and smile with his silliness and sheer cuteness.
And papa Serge is about the best dad and partner anyone could have. He works with a local artist in town and is constantly learning and growing both as a professional and in his personal journey. He loves to share his experiences that inspire others to be their best.
WHAT WE NEED AND THE COST
For this project we are looking to purchase a used Class A Motorhome, late 70's or early 80's. (nothing fancy-JUST BUILT WELL)
--(LIKE THOSE)
We have faith that we will find the ideal one for us in the price range we are looking in. To this we will add a solar panel kit to reduce the use of gasoline for a generator. We would like to make as little changes as possible. We are estimating $10-11k (based on much research) on the motorhome and $1500 for the complete solar panel kit.
----- (LIKE THIS)
We have begun saving for additional expenses but this will cover the initial major items. We have researched and are hoping to be able to run this mothership on Ethanol gas as well.
We will reside mainly in South Florida living and working the land on a friend's property. Here we will work on community outreach and events.
OUR HOPE
With this journey we hope to inspire and educate others to open their minds and hearts to other possibilities of connecting with ourselves, each other and our planet.
WHAT CAN YOU DO TO HELP?
We are aware that not everyone can help with a large donation or financially, but we ask that you pass this campaign to your friends and family and anyone that you know that would be able to participate. Every drop in the bucket counts. Knowledge is priceless and we'd love to share ours with whoever wants to know.
THANK YOU FOR STOPPING BY AND GIVING US A FEW MINUTES OF YOUR TIME!
MANY BLESSINGS...
THE MOJICA FAMILY
