Update: The movie has now been finished and released on MOORvision Network!
How It All Started
We (Rashan Allen and Ali-Han Ibragimov) first met each other in September 2017, and after getting familiar with each other's mindsets and ideas during our very first encounter, we've been working side by side, every day and night, putting in countless hours towards our crafts.
Ali, pursuing a career as an entrepreneur and a producer, while already establishing a record label (VSOP Records) and video game company (now known as MOORvision Gaming.)
Rashan, originally pursuing a career as a screenwriter in hopes of running his own production company (MOORvision Productions), dropped out of film school within his first two months, after realizing what may have to be done in order to accelerate his career path, we began working with production teams, to then build connections and start running our own. From that point on, our loyalty, dynamic, and chemistry had already been put to the test with each other, so we decided to come together to form a legacy and build an empire by putting everything under one house in our very own corporation, MOORvision, Inc.
We were being put through endless circles of industry heads trying to take advantage of our efforts, time, and commitment; trials and tribulations, to the point of not having a place to rest our heads at night, yet still finding ways to host meetings with established filmmakers. Doing camera work for various events, and celebrities throughout LA. We've grown from realizing the beauty of the struggle and life, knowing that staying consistent and relentless will bring us sought results.
But in the midst of all the side hustles lies a base of content, ranging from numerous scripts & concepts for features, TV shows, cartoons, video games, comics, etc., enough for decades to come, with only one last piece of the puzzle missing: MONEY.
If we were able to create off of just sheer passion and love we have for our crafts, without having to worry about fortunes to back them, the plan would be executed in an exemplary fashion. But God has blessed us with a call from a longtime friend of Ali's, who's decided to invest in our first project, giving us the opportunity to prove ourselves and showcase our what we're really capable of.
The first project we wanted to come out with was a feature film called 'Bompton Had A Dream.'
'A Dream Deferred' was Rashan's NAACP Gold Medal winning play in 2015, that has been revamped into what we now know as 'Bompton Had A Dream'. We want our debut film to be something meaningful enough to make an impact, and good enough to earn us respect as filmmakers and creators.
Next step was a trip to Compton.
Rolling the dice and going to a place where people protect and honor their stomping grounds with their lives to shoot a movie will never be easy, so if the community isn't behind you, nothing will ever get done. But through the understanding and genuine love we've received from the people of Compton, Centennial High School, and most importantly, the OG's that made the calls to make sure everything was kept on a professional level, made us realize that much more, that no matter where you're from, or what story you may have to tell, there's always somebody that can relate. Now, looking everyone in their eyes while describing this project, you could vividly see they felt where we were coming from and they wanted nothing, but to be a part of making this vision come to life.
We emphasize ingenuity, enlightenment, and immortality in our work, and most importantly, nothing that we do is for us. Knowing that we've touched another human being's soul through our wholehearted content is a bigger accomplishment than anything we could ever ask for. MOORvision is forever keeping your mind free, and showing gratitude to the purpose & beauty of your life.
How we started, will forever keep us grounded to never see an end.

What We Need
GREAT NEWS: 90% of the film is finished!
LESS GREAT NEWS: There's (still) only 10% of the film left to shoot!
The Los Angeles weather didn't exactly play into our hand during our shoot, with us having to avoid rain and hunt for sun for a number of days. Most of the required funding will go towards finishing the scenes, and with us already having a rough draft of how the film will look, we're also planning to re-shoot a few scenes and touch up on small details!
Locations
Piru St.
Campanella Park.
Centennial High School.
Bompton.
One of our main goals with this film is to make sure it's 100% authentic to the community, so every location used for this film is in Compton.

Quality
Great actors portraying great characters would go to waste if the quality is not up to par.
We're filming Bompton Had a Dream with an Arri Alexa Mini camera, with the vintage Soviet Lomo Anamorphic Lenses.

The Impact
For the duration of this shoot, it means a lot to us to have the people of Compton behind this film. Residents coming outside, seeing the production and showing love to the cast & the crew. The entirety of our cast has more real people from the community rather than actors, providing them with a platform to pursue career in entertainment.
Everyone Has a Dream
Regardless of whether or not you decide to support us and our project, let our ongoing journey serve as a real life example that anything is possible.
