BUZZKILL is a fun and bloody revenge story set in a fantasy-nightmare version of Chicago. The Scumbags have taken over the city with their dangerous new drug. An innocent man crosses paths with the gang. Drugged and left for dead, The Buzzkill is born. And so begins his violent quest for vengeance...

"I've got an idea for a horror movie about a guy with a buzzsaw."

Those simple words were the beginning of BUZZKILL. Cyle Williamson (Writer/Director) and Collin Major (Actor, "The Buzzkill") would day-dream about the project while working together as Special Effects Artists.



"It should look like it was made in the 80s."

"I want it to be a slasher movie where the slasher is the hero."

By pulling favors from friends on stolen weekends, these dreams eventually manifested themselves as a fake movie trailer for the film.

Yeah, that's right. The campaign trailer posted above is simply a tool to give you a sense of the story and the world of BUZZKILL. The goal of this campaign is to raise enough funding for a feature length, high quality, full production version of the film.

In short? A real movie.

Let's be honest, this movie won't happen without you and people like you. The production team behind BUZZKILL possesses all the necessary know-how and talent to bring this passion project to life. The only thing we need now is something we can only get from you: support.

How?

By sharing and re-sharing the campaign on social media. By spreading the word to all of your friends and family. By donating whatever funds you can to the project. Any contribution gets us closer to our goal, and anything you can do to get the campaign out there is a huge help.

Feature length films cost a lot of money to make. Action movies are some of the most expensive. So are movies with a lot of special effects. BUZZKILL is all of the above.

Our production needs to hire a multitude of actors, extras, crew members, fabricators, technicians, and an army of talented artists. Our production also has to pay for film permits, shooting locations, choreographed stunts, stunt vehicles, practical effects, costumes and special effects make-up, not to mention film equipment. And that's before the film is ever edited or distributed.

All funds raised by this campaign will go directly towards the cost of production, post-production, and paying our cast and crew.

A PERSONAL MESSAGE FROM THE CREATOR

"BUZZKILL is, if nothing else, a passion project. It's a love letter to my family, friends, Chicago and all the people who call it home.  I would have never been able to get this far without them. Now this is the part where I'm supposed to sound corny and say I've never wanted something so bad in my life. But the truth is I've never worked so hard on anything, ever.  Having the opportunity to make this film a reality would literally be a dream come true.  Not only for myself but for those extremely talented people also involved in the project.  And I want you to be a part of this journey too.  More than anything, I want us to make a great movie together.
