Short Summary
Due to some
circumstances of life my world turned upside down almost three years ago, and
since then I have been working like crazy to develop my own business, loads of
work with no profit at all, and I gradually became a zombie as a result of the
everyday struggle to make ends meet, until I eventually found out I was born to do sth else.
As soon as I
realized how important is to pursue the passion, and redefined success as
making a living with a job you love. I really miss the creative and happy person I used to be. My old friend Pentax
served me well as we travelled together in good old times, but since then I grew up, and he just got obsolete, and finally started to fail me. Well, it’s never been a professional camera, but I think I used it to the best of its ability. In perfect conditions I got good shots and learned a lot. But in difficult conditions there is no way to take sharp photos with it, and unfortunately, not everything can be fixed with Photoshop.
I am craving for a change in my life, so I applied for an EU subvention for new
businesses and failed once again due to some formal issues I can do nothing
about, which is really frustrating. Lottery didn't work (somebody else got those 38 million zloty), and Santa won’t bring me any new DSLR either, no matter how well I behave. I could also be saving money for the rest of my life and I am, but it will take an eternity.
I have been dreaming about becoming a photographer all my life and now I have some ideas of how to make a living with it, as well as some skills, but the beginning is the toughest. My aim is to preserve
the beauty of nature and immortalize people’s memories. Recently I have been obsessed with time lapse
photography, capturing the flow of time. But this kind of
artistic creation requires a camera which is far more technologically advanced.

What I Need
Here is a list of some basic gear for a professional photographer. As you can
see, the equipment is incredibly expensive, no way I can afford it in ten years:
Canon Speedlite 600EX-RT
|
$400
|
Lens Canon EF-S
f/3.5-5.6 IS STM
|
$300
|
Lens Canon EF-S
10-22mm f/3.5-4.5 USM
|
$550
|
Canon EOS 5d
Mark III - body
|
$2500
|
Lens EF 70-200
mm f/2.8 IS II USM
|
$1700
|
Body and a
lens would be already something to begin with. I already have access to a good
computer with original Adobe CS6, so I’m focusing on the gear itself.
5000 USD is not a must. I'll be extremely happy with half of it, so I can invest in a camera body. If I don't reach the goal, I will go buying things one by one with savings, but it will take an eternity.

What you get - perks!
Well, as a photographer, apart from my lifelong gratitude and boosting your positive karma, I can offer you what I love most and what I do best. Feel free to pick any shot from my Gallery (see tabs) and you will receive it in the highest resolution I have (private license). You can print it out, use for your private blog or website, or any project of yours.
Risks & Challenges
Well, the only risk I can think of is me sacrificing a kidney as a last resort. No, just kidding.
Any
help, no matter how small, would be greatly appreciated. If you cannot contribute with money, please share my wish with your friends on Facebook or whatever social service you use! An email would be just as fine.
XOXO
