Greetings all! I'm Matt Taylor, an award-winning film writer and director, and soon to be, a published children's book author! Myself, along with my very talented illustrator, Allison Cain, have created a wonderful, new holiday series we are ready to bring to the masses, and we need your help to do it! We begin with the series protagonist and her story. It's the story of Carol, the Ancient Yuletide Troll!

A long time ago, there was a troll named Carol. While the other monsters she lived with were mean to human children, she was always nice, and therefore the only monster who would receive presents from Santa for being on the nice list. This only made the other monsters jealous, and they ignored her, making Carol sad.

One Christmas, Carol visits Santa to ask why the other monsters do not get presents. She learns they are on the naughty list. When she tries to warn them they won't receive presents if they continue to be naughty, the monsters ignore her all the more, forcing Carol to take matters into her own hands. But will her good intentions have dire consequences?

"Carol, the Ancient Yuletide Troll" is a quirky picture book with a great friendship hook, spare text and will have retro-style illustration! Its is a fun way to introduce a new Christmas story. Not only does it teach children the importance of good behavior, it teaches a great lesson in friendship, kindness, and sharing, all that will show the true spirit of Christmas in a new way, and from a not-so-scary monster named Carol.

In order to bring this wonderful new story to the masses, our publishing company needs financial assistance. Allison and I have a goal to raise $3,000. Every dollar donated will be one more to getting our book out to communities throughout the nation, reminding all the true meanings of Christmas, and overall bring a family together with a heartwarming story.
