We are cat loving enthusiasts and passionate about creating long lasting products. Other cat toys are often mass produced outside the US and quickly fall apart. For the future of this project, we are planning Seattle based manufacturing for job creation and sustainability for years to come. After this project ends Cat Fishin' Toys will be available on our website. http://catfishintoy.com/
Cat Fishin’ started last year when I ventured down into the basement to create a toy for our cat, Marla. I've used the feather on a stick dangler toys but they were quickly ripped apart. I needed something more robust, yet tempting like feather.
Initially, I started with a simple nylon streamer which worked okay, but it needed better action. I then tried fishy shapes which brought significant improvement. The toy now looked like fish, moved like fish and made an irresistible swooshie sound. Cat Fishin' Toys
The Fishy Blue Mackerel has a sleek shape with mackerel markings. The Nice Red Snapper is slightly fatter with a larger tail for more pronounced swim action and snapper fish markings. The Seattle Salmon is our largest fish with amazing fishy action and salmon markings. All fish work well with either the 12", 24” or 30” pole but the smaller poles are intended for tight spaces.
The Cat Response
These toys are irresistible. Cats will literally bounce off walls and leap as high as they can. After enthusiastic Cat Fishin', they'll roll on their backs to rest and continue pawing for it.
Cat Fishin’ Maneuvers
It’s up to you to discover your cat’s preferences for cat fishin'. Younger cats have enjoyed fast action followed by a pause so they can practice their stalk and pounce routine. For older cats, fast action followed my slower maneuvers within reaching distance may work better. This can be fun for all ages and bring hours of entertainment daily.
