CC
CC seeks out the new and unique in
Southern Colorado. We pay careful attention to the old and well-loved. We are
compelled to bring them together in conversation—to share with our friends in
words, images, and film. We hope to create a place where Makers, Creators, and
Enthusiasts can gather to cultivate new collaborations, to uncover hidden gems,
and to celebrate cultural and artistic pioneers in our community.
The work of CC can be enjoyed online
(cc) through our regular publication of interviews, photo
essays, recipes, soundtracks, videos, and other special content that features
the high points of Southern Colorado living. The Southern Colorado community is
welcome to actively engage with CC at our small gatherings and quarterly
events, as well as virtually through fb, twt, inst.

We
are seeking funding to help compensate our staff for their time and talent.
We’d also like to offset the initial cost of community events (though some will be fundraising events) and raise enough money to
have our own space in which to hold gatherings where members of the community
can learn new skills, from gardening to crafting to cooking. Additionally, it is
our hope to eventually offer a limited run of print issues
that could be referenced as a kind of scrapbook of Southern
Colorado culture.

OUR GOALS
We are asking for $10,000 to get us on our way to
achieving the goals we have for the inaugural year of CC. Our priorities for
2014 are as follows:
- Right now, CC is a labor of love, but we'd love to be able to pay our staff.
- Invest in more elaborate and more frequent community events and gatherings.
- Create our own community space for meetings, dinners, workshops, and more.
YOUR SUPPORT
We've reached out to our network of makers, artists, and entrepreneurs to gather an eclectic bundle of gifts and opportunities as a way of thanking you for your generosity. Many of the gifts involve the talents of CC staff: salt + butter co. cookies from founder Mundi Ross; a photo shoot from photographers, Abby Mortenson and Rachel Havel; and certainly our most prized offering, membership, which includes personal interaction with the CC team, free admission to our events for one year, and recognition for
your outstanding contribution.

Money is swell, but anyone can help support us by visiting our website regularly, and by joining
our circle of friends on fb, twt, inst. Share our stories,
and spread the word about CC. If you live in the Southern Colorado region, we
invite you to join us for events. Or feel free to contact us if you know a
maker or artisan living and working in Southern Colorado that we should meet.
