WELCOME TO INNER SPACE
For centuries, people have sought out the wisdom of psychics to solve their problems. From Miss Cleo, to John Edwards and Sylvia Brown, psychics often reach fame of extraordinary heights due to humanity’s fascination with the parapsychological. But what do Claire and Ruby, a couple of jaded and broke millennial women, do when they have a problem? They become psychics.
CLAIREvoyant is a mystical comedy of errors starring a classic odd-couple duo. In this episodic digital series, co-creators and co-stars Annie Briggs (Ruby) and Natasha Negovanlis (Claire) play two sincere and relatable leads that are body positive, sex positive, and unafraid to be themselves. It is a feminist comedy/fantasy series for those that love the colourful kinetics of Chewing Gum, the bare-souled honesty of Fleabag, and the queer-positivity of Please Like Me. The tone of our storytelling is a fusion of grounded and genuine scenes about reluctant and painful personal growth, with absurdist humour.
This is what it’s all about…

Aimless and hung-over, Claire and Ruby wake up under an overpass after partying away their last 50 bucks on Claire’s 25th birthday, and find out they are evicted. Instead of doing the responsible thing, the free-spirited Ruby cooks up a wild get-rich-quick scheme: scam people by becoming online psychics. The skeptical Claire is reluctant, but agrees to participate in a desperate bid to appease her restless wild-child best friend, Ruby, and oh yeah, avoid homelessness. Enter “THE SEER SISTERS”! Cosmonauts of INNER space!
Claire and Ruby’s fraud as the delightfully tacky “Seer Sisters” seems innocent at the start: “It’s for entertainment purposes ONLY!” But there’s a catch: Claire discovers she is actually psychic. This catalyzes the events of the first season, as Claire’s real extra-sensory abilities explode the Seer Sisters’ popularity while simultaneously attracting the ire of a secret cabal of malevolent psychics! Known as “The Seeing Eye” the cabal is hell-bent on harnessing Claire’s power for world domination. This propels Claire and Ruby on a journey of self-discovery, where they will have to learn to love themselves, trust each other, and kick some psychic ass!
But wait…

Why else should you contribute to our campaign?
It’s a show about friendship.
It’s a show about growing up.
It’s a show about love.
But, this isn’t another show about apathetic millennials. It’s a show about learning to take action and finding a place in this world - even if it means having to destroy an evil psychic cabal while in the process! It’s about expanding horizons, evolving ideals, and about understanding that not everything is black and white - there’s always room for a little magic.
With two lead characters that experience very different romantic journeys, CLAIREvoyant shows us that there is no right or wrong way to be in a relationship, or to be a feminist.
Out lesbians, pro-choicers, polyamorous adventurers, and academic brains!
Each female character on CLAIREvoyant is unabashedly strong in her own unique way. Plus, with the guidance of an openly queer co-creator, CLAIREvoyant will provide positive on-screen representation for the LGBTQIA+ community, and promises to demonstrate that queer relationships can be free from angst.
Although, it’s true that the digital media industry can be a…

So where will your money go?
Aside from an extensive collection of leopard print pants and an on set lion?
Just kidding! Well, maybe not about the pants...
Our budget goes directly to costs like: fair salaries for our crew, props and wardrobe, licensing and legal fees, production insurance, and union dues (ACTRA + WGC - The Writers' Guild of Canada) that protect our performers and creatives.
See our gallery above for an illustrated breakdown of where our modest budget will go.
But how do we know this show will be a success?
We are fortunate that CLAIREvoyant already has a built-in audience of over 200K Subscribers on its host channel KindaTV, over 140K Views on the teaser trailer, as well as a generous cross-over with other fandoms. Since starring in the award winning digital series Carmilla, our creators have also collectively amassed a huge, loyal following because both women resonate with, and appreciate, their audience. They understand the importance of generating positive online engagement and our team will create unique, additional content with specific calls to action because we want YOU to be a part of our community.
We also have a pretty stellar creative team lined up, and it's only going to get better!
