COLONIAL SPACE WARS : FLESH AND STEEL is a crowdfunding created with the objective of making the expansion of the acclaimed sci-fi board game "Colonial Space Wars: New Horizons". This project is developed by Vedra Games, an Spanish game publisher and organizer of gaming events.
In COLONIAL SPACE WARS the action takes place in a future science fiction universe. Each player take the role of one Commander, leading his army and
challenging others
in a desperate massive ground battle. Only a leader that excels in strategic
planning, military tactics and resource management will prevail. The
future of the universe ruled by men is in your hands!.

COLONIAL SPACE WARS : NEW HORIZONS was released as a starter box in English and Spanish. It includes a rulebook with 56 full color pages, a portable game board
with two different battlegrounds, 50 tokens on laminated cardboard as
units, and 10 markers.
This compact format is suitable for casual gaming with a duration of
30-60 min, but it also allows bigger battles with up to eight armies
when combining two or more boxes. Game mechanics combine chess with
classic wargames, with the particularity
of being played without dice. Based in resource management, tactics and
strategy, COLONIAL SPACE WARS is easy to learn but hard to master.

contribution of potential backers during this campaign, we want to
achieve the funding to publish a first edition of the expansion, which
would give many game lovers worldwide access to this interesting and fun
board game.This project is not only important because it will expand the universe of
COLONIAL SPACE WARS, but also
because it offers new and unique rewards that will only be available
during the campaign.

Vedra Games invested an important budget in order to pay previous costs for this project (author rights,
payments to illustrators, sculptors and editor). Therefore
the
total funding received from this campaign only will pay the board game production costs: brute
(printing, components and handling) and shipping. Only for the basic goal, we will require 1800€
for the production of 500 copies of
CSW: FLESH AND STEEL, the board
game expansion. An additional 200€ budget in terms of commissions for the
companies that manage the bank account transactions.
In
addition to this, the secondary goals are alternative proposals that could improve even more the
quality and quantity of game components for our backers. For example, if the funding
reached values between 3500€-10000€, it would unlock a bonus that allows production of resin/metal models or the printing of an advanced rulebook.
Vedra Games, the company involved in this project,
has edited successfully CSW: NEW HORIZONS in the
past. For this reason, our capacity to professionally and efficiently
manage a project like this is guaranteed. This campaign will as well
expand their reach to potential clients and reinforce the trust of their
current customers.

The
COLONIAL SPACE WARS FLESH AND STEEL campaign will last 21 days. During this period, backers are invited to join by pledging with different perks knowing as
Commander Ranks (see section below).
Each perk will require the compromise of
investing a certain amount of money; the higher is this level, the greater
amount of additional Tactical Resources (rewards) to choose from.In any case, backers should remember that
no charges would be applied in case the minimum required

COLONIAL SPACE WARS : NEW HORIZONS fue publicado como caja de iniciación en Inglés y Español. Incluye un manual de 56 páginas a todo color, un tablero plegable a doble cara, 50 piezas de cartón como unidades y 10 marcadores.
Este formato compacto es ideal para un juego casual de 30-60 minutos de
duración, pero también permite mayores batallas de hasta ocho bandos

queremos lograr la financiación suficiente para publicar la primera
edición de esta expansión, la cual dará acceso a muchos jugadores de
todo el mundo a este interesante y divertido juego de tablero. Este
proyecto no sólo es importante porque ampliará el universo de
COLONIAL SPACE WARS, sino porque ofrecerá recompensas únicas que sólo estarán disponibles durante la campaña.

Vedra Games ha invertido un fondo importante para costear los gastos previos de este proyecto (derechos de autor, pago a ilustradores, escultores y editores). Por lo tanto la totalidad de la financiación obtenida de esta campaña únicamente será invertida en pagar los costes de producción del juego de tablero: básicos
(impresión, materiales y manipulación) y gastos de envío. Únicamente para el objetivo básico, se necesitan 1800€
para producir 500 copias de
CSW: FLESH AND STEEL, la expansión del juego de tablero. Un fondo adicional de 200€ será destinado al pago de comisiones para la plataforma de mecenazgo y las transacciones bancarias.
Además de este, se han propuesto objetivos secundarios que podrían aumentar la calidad y cantidad de los componentes del juego para nuestros mecenas. Por ejemplo, si la financiación alcanzara cantidades entre 3500€-10000€, se desbloquearía un nivel para la producción de miniaturas o la impresión de un libro de reglamento más completo.
Vedra Games, la compañía involucrada en este proyecto,
ya publicó con éxito COLONIAL SPACE WARS: NEW HORIZONS en el pasado. Por esta razón, su capacidad para realizar eficaz y profesionalmente un proyecto de estas características está garantizado. Esta campaña servirá también para ampliar el número de sus potenciales clientes y mejorar aún más la confianza de los actuales, lo que enriquecerá a la comunidad de jugadores de COLONIAL SPACE WARS.
Para responder al reto que suponen las areas de trabajo multidisciplinar de este proyecto (escenografía de terreno, escultura tradicional, impresión en 3D y producción de miniaturas), se ha creado una red de trabajo con otras empresas especialistas:

La campaña de
COLONIAL SPACE WARS FLESH AND STEEL durará 21 días. Durante este período, los mecenas están invitados a unirse a ella solicitando alguno de los diferentes niveles, denominados
Rangos de Comandante (ver sección siguiente).
Cada nivel requiere del compromiso de invertir una cierta cantidad de dinero; cuanto mayor sea este nivel, mayor será la cantidad de Recursos Tácticos (recompensas) que poder elegir.
En cualquier caso, los mecenas deben recordar que no se cobrará ninguna cantidad de dinero en caso de que el mínimo de la campaña no sea alcanzado.
