Who am I and what am I doing?!
Hello, everyone! My name is Jeff Whitmire and I'm known in some circles as the "Weird Al" of Horror! I write and perform funny original and parody songs about all our favorite horror movies. In 2023 I released my first horror comedy album Stabby Road, and now I'm doing it again with a 31 song double album of new music called "Direct 2 Video!"

Last year was a big year as I co-wrote and perform with 2Sleeps Music the end credit song to the Shudder original film "V/H/S/85!" I'm excited to announce that 2Sleeps will be doing all the music and production work on "Direct 2 Video!"

I also was asked to create a song to promote the Screambox original movie "The Outwaters!

My next album "Direct 2 Video" is set to be the biggest thing yet! 2 CD"s packed with songs that have either been released in early demo form and songs that are entirely new to the album that backers will be the first to experience! There will be some originals mixed in with the parodies, including another Last Drive-In themed song. Movies being covered this time around include Halloween, Child's Play, The Blair Witch Project, Terrifer 2 and a ton of surprises including a rather big movie coming out later this year!
Many of the planned songs are completed in some form, either they have been written, recorded, and released, so a large portion of the album is already on the way to completion. In the case of many of the songs, we are going to give them a full studio makeover with new music, vocals, and a polished mix. A ton of other songs are currently on their way to being written so that there's a good chunk of completely new material that backers will be the first to hear!

To make this album the best listening experience it can be, all the music and production will be done by audio mastermind, 2Sleeps Music!
The cover image is being designed by visionary artist Neil Fraser! To make this all possible most of the cost of the album goes towards funding their professional work. The remainder will be used to manufacture the double cd's, cover the cost of rewards such as the posters, and ensure that all shipping costs are covered to make sure the album gets into the hands of backers!
The Impact
My goal is to make another fun album to be enjoyed by horror fans, as well as fans of comedy music! I hoping to make the best sounding album to bring a smile to a lot of faces. Your contribution not only helps to ensure that the cost of making the album can be met, but also is essentially a pre-order for the album as all tiers $25 and above gets you a copy of the physical album. ($10 gets you a digital copy immediately upon the album's completion.
This will be the second time I have crowd-funded an album, my first having been Stabby Road, which met its crowd-funding goal. At the completion of that album, the album as well as perks were immediately on their way to backers!
Risks & Challenges
Risks to completing this album are very minimal, but may include delays in completing recordings to occasional life issues that may arise. However, as so much of the album is on the way to completion, these will not cause any long-term delays and the completion of the album proper.
I will consistently keep backers updated to any potential delays and what is being done to rectify them to keep everything on track, and to make sure the album gets into your hands.
