Kazuki's Drums
Kazuki has been playing Balkan, Near/Middle Eastern percussion for about 15 years. She has played for dance troupes and as a part of musical ensembles, helping spread the beauty of this wonderful musical genre. Based in New York City, she has taught her approach to these traditional instruments all over the country.
On this 41st birthday, she decided it is time to upgrade her drums. Notably the dumbek and the tar. She has been playing her travel-weight ones, and she really needs professional-grade drums.
Your Contribution Will...
Make Kazuki's birthday a special one!
And, it will help her spread the joy of Balkan, Near/Middle Eastern music. Kazuki's musical career has been on a bit of hold since she became a mother (which happened immediately after she released her first percussion album). She has been working non-stop as a fashion designing store owner as well.
She plans to focus more on her musical side this year, and this campaign will kick-start it.
What Kazuki Is Looking At Today
An professional-grade Egyptian dumbek (tabla) - A friend of hers is offering to sell a really good one for $200. This is a BARGAIN, since her friend is deeply generous and she doesn't have to fly to Egypt to look for one herself.
A Glen Velez tunable 17" tar by Cooperman - A few of her friends have one of those, and she's been drooling over them for years. Her trusted Remo 22" tar has finally passed away, so it is time to switch to this superb drum. it is $310, and its case is $68.
Her riq needs to be upgraded as well, but she is not asking for too much at this time.
