My Story
My real name is Andre' Collins,
but I go by the stage name of Trump Tight. I am a writer/producer/artist
that composes music of all genres. I have written everything from love
ballads, to gospel songs, to hip-hop and everything in between. I firmly
believe that good music is good music; it does not need to be defined by a
genre.
I have always been a writer and
performer locally, but I got my TRUE industry start by working at a demo studio
in Nashville, TN where writers would come in with their songs to be recorded
with the hopes of pitching their songs to major labels. We would record those
songs and I would produce and sometimes co-arrange their songs to provide the
best sounding song possible for them to pitch. The studio primarily recorded
live instruments and sounds, so that is where I honed my skills and fell in
love with the art of arranging and layering songs.
I am now preparing to release my
sophomore album entitled, "Eclectic Soul". It is a hip-hop
album, infused with many elements of other sectors of music. In the
truest sense of being eclectic, there will be songs with elements of R & B,
pop, gospel, and techno all molded together into a wonderful arrangement
of artistry. I have been told that I make "hip-hop for grown
people". All of the songs have been recorded and we are in the
mixing and mastering stages. I am teaming up with multi-platinum mixer Marc
Frigo to provide the best sound yet! I have worked with Marc on a few
other songs in various styles and each time he has delivered a phenomenal sound
that really brought the songs to life. I think he is going to really add
the final element to push this project to the next level. The versatility
and content of this album truly have the ability to make a MAJOR impact and is
sure to please whoever listens.

The recording of the
album has been completed so the funding of this project is solely for the
purpose of paying for the mixing, mastering, and launching of the album.
The goal of the campaign is to generate enough pre-orders to pay for the
album and the second music video to officially launch the album. Because myself
and a partner shoot and edit our own music videos, we are able to operate off
of a smaller budget than most, but our quality does not suffer as you can see
by the first music video from this album, "Good Morning Amerikkka".

The Impact
I make music with the
intent to make an impact on the music industry and people's lives. I have
songs on this album dealing with race relations in America (Good Morning
Amerikkka), abuse and bullying (Beauty Queen), a song dedicated to the brave
men and women in the Armed Forces (Till I Get Home), and other
impactful songs musically. With your support, I will do my best to
spread this music around the globe. You will have contributed to one of
the most original hip-hop albums to date.
Risks & Challenges
The risks and challenges
are oftentimes the same for indie artists. With no major label funding
the project, sales are often times the only way to make up the gap in finances.
I work a full time job and have a family but I still have a dream. In
order to accomplish this dream, I will need to rely on the kindness of others
and my fans to release this album.
