Well...its been quite a year. In October, 2016, EqualiTech received our 501(c)(3) tax exempt status and by April, we had opened the doors of the Goleta Valley Tech Center. Since then we've had over 1000 visits to the computer lab and through the work of our incredible manager Dawer, have helped patrons with everything from setting up an email address to building out their own website. What started out as a dream of Danny's became a reality last year thanks in no small part to the amazing contributions of our friends and families. We are proud of all that we have accomplished in such a short period of time but we know there is so much more work to do.

In 2018 we hope to:

  • Expand GVTC's operating hours from 20 per week to 40 per week
  • Increase our weekly patronage to 100
  • Build out our volunteer program to allow local tech-savvy community members to contribute their time and expertise to our mission
  • Continue to build our relationships with other local organizations that aim to improve access to technology
  • Provide access to technology education either through our own offerings or through partnerships
  • Explore expansion opportunities in other underserved parts of Santa Barbara county

We hope that during this holiday season you will consider donating to help keep Goleta Valley Tech Center open to the public and to allow EqualiTech to continue to deliver on our mission to improve access to technology and increase technical literacy in the community.

Thank you from all of us at EqualiTech!

Danny, Ashley, Julie and Dawer
