Short Summary

• My name is Jack Reeves and I’m an 18 year old indie filmmaker from Michigan. 
• This project is increidbly important to me because I have a burning passion for filmmaking and I feel as if I have something to tell the world. I’m a storyteller at heart and I want to share my art with you all. I’m a massive horror movie fan and I’ve always been inspired by the classic slasher movies (Texas Chainsaw, Halloween, Friday the 13th, Nightmare on Elm Street, The Evil Dead, Scream, and many more).
• So many people are helping me achieve this goal and it would be possible without all of our talented cast and incredible crew. This is entirely non-profit because we aren’t interested in the money. We’re all artists and we want to do what we do best. Create amd imagine.

What We Need & What You Get

We’re hoping to reach a goal of $10,000. Yes, we know this is a lot, but every bit will help. Even if we don’t reach this goal in the end, we’ll still be incredibly grateful to everybody who donates!

• Every penny of this funding will be going towards cameras, microphones, lights, software, practical effects, and more in order to be able to create this short film. We’re months into pre-production and we plan on heading into production next month. All of this generous funding from you all will be 100% out towards making this possible.
• In terms of perks, we offer a few tiers. $99-under will recieve a hand-written thank you letter signed by the director and cast. $100-$499 will recieve a special thank you in the credits of the film. $500-$999 will recieve a video message from the director and cast personally thanking you, as well as a thank you in the credits of the film. $1000 and above will recieve an executive producer credit at the end of the film as well as a personal thank you video from the cast and crew.
• In case we don’t reach our full goal, we’ll still use everything we get and put it towards making this film because every amount helps. And in the wise words of legendary filmmakers of the past, the best film school is learning how to make the most out of the least!

The Impact

• This short film will explore the ideas of friendship and how far humans are willing to go to survive. However, I think that the most important and impactful aspect of this film is going to be it’s ability to inspire other aspiring filmmakers to pick up a camera, step out into the world, and share their story. Because when it’s all said and done, life would be boring without each and every one of us putting our souls on display for others to view.
• This is my first short film being made with this big of a budget, but I’ve had an amazing time putting this cast and crew together to create this film. I hope to make many more in the future.
• Just remember that I’m just a young man chasing his dreams, just like every one of us. So please, help me and my astounding team achieve our dreams. The sky is the limit and we all plan on heading for the stars.

Risks & Challenges

• The two biggest challenges we may face is going to be location shooting and weather.
• In order to overcome these challenges, we must be flexible and endure whatever there is to face. We’re all incredibly committed and passionate about this project. We’ve already done so much to get even this far.
