Synopsis:
At 27, Max has the life every New Yorker dreams of -a dead-end retail job, an acting career that's going nowhere fast, a thieving hipster roommate, and a talent for being mistaken for a drug dealer. After a hack acting guru awakens the beast within, Max becomes a young man on the verge. Then all hilarious-Hell breaks loose. Fortunately, his trust-afarian best friend has an endless supply of green, the internet has no shortage of free pornography, and racist socialites need love too. Standing at the precipice of his quarter life crisis, Max drifts directionless towards greatness or self-destruction…most likely somewhere in-between.
Why Support F**k, I Love You:
We believe the film will appeal to a wide range of audience members due to its tone and our visually engaging method of telling the story. There exists a large void of intelligent and artfully constructed films about race and the people affected by it. Ultimately our intent is not to make a film about any particular ethnic group but rather a film about intelligent free thinking people from various backgrounds who can and desire to have real discussions about race and it’s role in our society. The most important role for us; the creators of this project, is to act as a catalyst for change and to allow people to have an open dialogue about things that are often deemed unapproachable. And to make you laugh -- obviously.
What Your Support Does for Our Project:
With your help we'll be able to pay for locations, rent lights, pay our amazing DP Oliver, pay our sound department, hire gaffers, hire PA's, hire a costume designer, hire an art director... in addition to our production costs we'll also need to hire a editor and composer and we'll need to pay for our festival entry fees too... I mean, there's seriously so much that your funding can help us accomplish -- it's seriously unreal. So let's do this!
So look at all the glorious perks and pick the one that speaks to you the most... no donation is too big or too small... and remember every single dollar counts.
In addition, our project F**k, I Love You was selected by New York Foundation for the Arts for fiscal sponsorship. So if you're a big spendor and you need more of an incentive (aka a tax-deduction)... check us out here (https://www.artspire.org/DirectoryDetail/tabid/95/id/1161/Default.aspx).
PLEASE TELL EVERYONE YOU KNOW AND EVERYONE THEY KNOW... AND EVERYONE YOU DON'T KNOW AS WELL...
