Short Summary
F.U.A.I. Logline: When an influencer finds her content manipulated without her consent, she has to face the dire consequences.
I am passionate about making films and telling stories about the future of humanity, about the things that scare us, and the cautionary tales that pulls those two things together.
My name is Jennifer Lynn Warren, and I am an actor / writer / director in Los Angeles. You may recognize me most from my role as Borquita LaLaurie in American Horror Story where I helped my "mom" Kathy Bates kill and torture people before we got sent to purgatory for our sins, but not before I get turned into a zombie and tried to kill her.....

This campaign is important to me because one of the most important things artists are fighting for on the picket lines is the protection from the use of our images and voices being used without our consent. I believe if the AMPTP wins, they will come for all of us on our social media next. The most powerful way to spread a message is storytelling. This work will be my way of trying to inform everyone what to watch out for to protect themselves through a work of fiction .
Contributors can not only expect that this film is going to get made even if I have to make it for nothing, but that I will also do what I can to get what we are about to create in front of as many audiences as possible.
Not only will we go on this journey together, but I will also be using this film as a proof of concept to turn into a feature film, and to submit as part of my portfolio as I submit to Universities to earn my Masters Degree in film.
What We Need & What You Get
There are several finish lines this film can get across
REACHED!$500 the film has been shot, and I've put the rest on my good old American Express :)
REACHED! $1000 will get the film made, all volunteers, bare bones. Basically, it feeds the crew (Undeniably important) and pays for our locations.
Next goal: $5000 will get the post production paid for in full and help pay down some of the production debt I put on my AMEX
$10000 will get us submitted into the best festivals in the world and we'll be able to hire an excellent marketing team!
$20000 not only gets the film beautifully shot, but we can also go into developing the feature length script and shopping the short around to investors.
$100,000 the short film is now our trailer for a feature film!
Risks & Challenges
Every film involves risks and challenges. The hard truth is, the more funding a film has, the more resources the film-makers have to over come hurdles.
At the start of the pandemic, I wrote and shot a short film called "Come In". Because it was the beginning of covid, it was only me as the entire crew (Camera, sound, makeup, locations, editor, etc) and three actors who all agreed to take safety measures. The film cost nothing to make, as I challenged myself to see what I could accomplish when I only had myself. I will do the same thing again with this story if needed.
Other Ways You Can Help
Some people just can't contribute, times are frickin' hard! but that doesn't mean you can't help:
- Get the word out and make some noise about the campaign!
- Use the Indiegogo share tools!
- Have a brightly lit location in Los Angeles? We may be able to use it!
- Are you a crew member looking to create art? We may need you!
- Is there a way you can help we're not thinking of? Message us!!
And that's all there is to it! Thanks for learning about this film. See you on the red carpet!
