We are a team of young Nepalese women that are collecting funds to donate food and shelter to the victims of the recent earthquake in Nepal.
We are aware of funds being directed to the wrong organizations. We had the same problem when we were looking for organizations that we could assist. Hence we decided to form Food for Relief Nepal so we know exactly where our funds are going. Our team is personally reaching coordinators in different camps that need help and we are handing over the supplies to these camp coordinators in front of the camp population, to make sure people know what they are getting, and to avoid it from being misused or taken elsewhere.
All the funds will be used to buy food and materials for those IN NEED with complete transparency. We are developing a project to adopt a village and help the victims in long run to build houses and sustain them
The INGO's and Government agencies are doing their bit but the scale of disaster asks each one of us to contribute in the best possible way. Please stand up for the victims and help those in immediate need for a better future of Nepal.
