Personal Introduction

Hey y’all, I’m Brittany Bexton, a Nashville country artist, with a bluesy, soulful edge. Musically, I’ve accomplished amazing things, and the only reason, I’ve come this far, is because of incredible support from people like you! I’m so very grateful to all of my generous fans, friends, and supporters, for getting me this far. Music has always been a part of who I am. For as long as I can remember, I knew that creating and performing was my calling. I have trained extensively in acting, dance, and music. I Studied voice for 15 years privately, and I attended college at the musical theater conservatory, PCPA. After college, I focused my energy back on my true passion, music. I moved to Nashville two years ago to pursue my dream full-time, and learn the business from the inside out, and it has been a whirlwind of a time in a lot of great ways! Now it’s time to take things to the next level! 

What We Need & What You Get

What the Campaign is for

I recorded a brand new single, called FREE FALL, in August, and released it in October. This single has been gaining traction in the music business, (top 5 on Music Road Radio, indie label offers, publisher interest). In order to maximize its full potential, I plan to bolster its visibility through a secondary market radio campaign. And, because my fans have been itching for more new music, I plan on recording a complete FREE FALL, EP. This funding goal will allow me to record 3 new songs, along with the necessary promotion. This is extremely expensive, but together I know we can make it happen!

After moving to Nashville, I quickly learned that the only way to “make it” in today’s business is to make it happen yourself. It is no longer about being discovered, but about creating your own business that thrives so much that a label might want to buy into what you have already begun. So, I started to build my business. Although I have experienced a lot of success on my own the last couple of years, both touring in more than 7 states, growing my fan base, and even gaining some airplay internationally, the challenge is that I’ve been doing all of this business work myself. This includes: marketing, booking, writing, radio promotion, practice/shows, recording, updating my website, and running my social media. Although I can do these things, I can’t do all of them effectively by myself. I know that I’m at the point that I need help from some industry pros to move to the next level. Unfortunately the promotional help I need costs a lot of money. This is why I need your help.

Cost Breakdown

 

I know $15,500 is a lot of money, but the cost of promotion and recording is very expensive. Below I have provided a breakdown of the costs, so that you can see with complete transparency exactly where your contribution will be going.

 

Radio Promo:

-$7,500 -  This includes radio promotion, tracking spins/adds & charts, & advertising.

-$1,500 – Cost of CDX disc delivery to stations.

Cost to record:

-$6,450 – this includes mixing, mastering, tracking, studio time, and production.

Additional Costs:

-$1,000 – Cost to print CD’s

-$3,000 – Cost of the Perks

-$4,000 – Cost to book and go on a radio tour.

-$3,000 – Cost to make a music video for FREE FALL

-$2,150 – Cost to record a 4th song

        

As you can see the costs add up quickly. You may have noticed that I have expenses listed that aren’t included in my funding goal. This is because I wanted to set a more reasonable goal to avoid the extra expense from Indiegogo (9% vs. 4% if I don’t meet my goal). However, these additional expenses are where the funding money will go if we exceed the goal.

 

*These are the most reasonable costs I could find for quality recording and promotion. The cost can be far more.
