Free Residential Blind Girls School in India
Life is very beautiful. It has given us everything what is required to lead a life. We can see how beautiful the world is! Right from sunrise to sunset we can see the marvels of nature. We can feel the warmth of touch of parent and can differentiate with that of other touch. We can distinguish between good and bad smell. We can taste good or bad food. We are born free. We can do whatever we wish to do. But not all are fortunate to have everything. God has made them special.
In India, the current literacy rate is 74.04% of that only 65.46% women are literate. Unemployment is another big monster. With less literacy rate and ever-growing unemployment, Government is not able to support fully even to the general people leave aside people with special needs
India is a country where divide between rich and poor is quite wide. Among poor there are segments where getting 2 meals a day is difficult task. Education, health and employment are major challenges for them. Of that segment we wish to help Girls who are visually and physically challenged. Needless to mention the sufferings that these girls go through. Their poor economic background and visual & physical challenges often result in neglect and disown by their own parents/relatives.
Our effort is to help and uplift visually and physically challenged girls of lower strata of the society who have low income not sufficient enough to support the even basic needs. They are often forced to live in the streets or lead even a darker way of life.
Bihar Netraheen Parishad has been playing a significant role in supporting, sustaining and uplifting the life of Girls who are visually and physically challenged. Currently Bihar Netraheen Parishad takes care of 100+ visually and physically challenged girls studying in Antarjyoti Balika Vidhyalaya (run by Bihar Netraheen Parishad).
We would like to take this mission to another level. We are planning to launch “AntarJyoti Maha Abhiyan- Building Dreams to empower blind girls “ campaign.
With your support and blessings the Bihar Netraheen Parishad will be able to contribute towards making these visually and physically challenged girls to start thinking towards a dignified and independent life. This is just the beginning.
Education is the only hope for them to come to mainstream. Our effort is to give them ability to lead an independent and dignified life. Bihar Netraheen Parishad provide education, food and residential space free of cost to all our students. We have also constructed a new building where a few rooms are used for classes and a few rooms for residential purposes. About 50 wait listed girls are waiting for admission. We need to have facilities for them too. We need to construct more classrooms, build new playground, science lab, Kitchen etc.
We are planning to launch “AntarJyoti Maha Abhiyan- Building Dreams to empower blind girls” campaign where in record 18 months we plan to raise USD 500,000.00. We plan to start campaign in January 2016. The campaign ends in June 2017.
We solicit your contribution in making the “ AntarJyoti Maha Abhiyan- Building Dreams to empower blind girls” a success. Your generosity will make the life of these visually and
Physically challenged girls comfortable and dignified.
