     Taylor Street Fire

On March 20th residents of a Taylor St. home in Saugus Mass. woke up in the middle of the night to find their house in flames. In a matter of minutes almost everything was destroyed.

My Uncle Stephen was sleeping on the third floor and managed to wake up and alert the lower level residents. He escaped in seconds just before the roof collapsed. The difference in seconds is what saved his life. He had no time to grab anything and got out as fast as he could.

Firefighters from seven different towns arrived on the scene and tried to save the house but the fire was too strong and had spread from the attic to the basement. In the effort to smother the blaze they had to retreat from the house and fight the flames from the outside.

My uncle is now homeless and has nothing but the clothes on his back that he ran out in. Everything was lost in the fire and he stood and watched as his house burnt to the ground.

This campaign is to help raise money so that Stephen can find an apartment and get back on his feet again as soon as possible! Finding a new home won’t be easy and the stress of losing everything in a fire is equally as heartbreaking. I am so happy and thankful that he made it out alive and is still with us!

Right now he needs love and support as well as some new clothes, shoes, groceries, and necessities. Stephen has an awesome, funny, and uplifting spirit and loves to joke around as you can tell in the picture of us above! The Red Cross has helped put him up in a hotel but only for a few days. Any donation is appreciated my goal is $500 which isn't much when you truly think about losing everything you have!

I appreciate your thoughts and prayers in advance! My plan is to surprise him on Easter with a check to help him with whatever he needs to get by!

Thanks again for the support and I will keep you updated!!!!!
