General Washington: Victory or Death
George Washington finds himself leading a band of untrained and ill equipped misfits against the world's most powerful army. Many of his generals have no prior military experience. His soldiers are poorly fed, and missing basic items such as shoes or coats.
Washington's own inexperience leads to heavy casualties during his first battles. The army is then forced into an embarrassing retreat. With winter approaching, the consensus among the troops is that the revolution is lost.
The general realizes that his army is in jeopardy of disbanding, and decides on a surprise attack to save the cause. Washington then engages in a desperate gamble that can only end in victory, or death.

Illustrating History:
In many ways, the history of the American revolution is lost to modern people. Yet, their stories are just as relevant today, because they are human stories. It is important to create works like this so that we can emulate their heroism in our own lives.
All the events and characters depicted in this comic will be as accurate as possible. Actual phrases said by the soldiers and generals will be used as well. There is no need to exaggerate anything as, of course, truth is more amazing than fiction.
The war these men experienced was just as brutal as any modern war. Cannon, musket, and bayonet inflicted devastating wounds on the human form. And all this in a time where medicine was at it's infancy. While this comic will feature bloodshed, it will tend to describe rather than visually depict the more ghastly scenes of war. This is being done to keep the work accessible to a wider audience.

Completion Date:
It's my goal to have this delivered by Christmas of 2018. Every effort will be made to do so. However, as that is a busy time for printers and the mail system, I have set the delivery date to January of 2019. This also gives cushion for any unforeseen delays we may experience.
