About Me

I have always had a fascination with movies. I wrote my first script when I was in the fifth grade, and in 2019 I graduated from Scottsdale School of Film + Theatre with my degree in Film Production. Over the years I've gained a group of collaborators with whom I made my first films such as 'Unscrewed', 'Jesus Christ and a Car Salesman', 'Aversion Therapy' and am continuing to work with on this project. I've made several projects over the years with them that have screened across the country and won awards in several festivals.

Our team is made up of some of the best talent and crew in the valley. I've personally worked with them all, and collectively they have been involved in countless productions here in AZ and across the country!

About 'Gerry'

"Gerry' is a project I originally conceived of over 2 years ago. I wrote the script in the summer of 2019 and have been revising it ever since. The themes of the film are similar to ones I've touched on in my work before including alienation,  attempting to find connection, and spiritual emptiness among others.  Below you can see some of the work that inspires us, as well as screenshots from some of our test footage. We include these to show you that we are confident in our vision for this project, and we are not without direction.

What We Need & What You Get

The $6000 included in the goal will all be used for purposes of production. If we are lucky enough to get past our goal, then we will use that money to fund our efforts in post-production. This includes paying for the sound design, editing, coloring, and submitting of the film to festivals across the country. As for the $6000 in our current goal,  your money will be spent directly on things to help the crew working on the production including food and drinks, safety equipment, and transportation. Your contributions will also be used for designing our sets, building our performers costumes, and acquiring gear to make the production.  I'm even donating my own plasma to help fund this movie, so all contributions will be an IMMENSE help!

The Impact

'Gerry' is the most important film I've worked on, and it is the next step in my filmmaking journey. My collaborators have brought their own visions and ideas to the project, all revolving around the same themes and feelings that we've been discussing for the last two years. When we live in a globally connected world, why is it we continue to feel even more disconnected from one another? The nuclear family is a dream of the past. Can we get it back? Should we? The obstacles these characters face are relevant to the identity crisis our culture is dealing with today.

Risks & Challenges

My collaborators and I have made films from our own pockets over and over again. We are accustomed to the hurdles faced in the production of making a movie. These include gear malfunctions, crew/cast illness, unexpected weather, and countless other obstacles we've had to overcome. Our team has faced these obstacles before, and have always found a way to overcome them and make the best film we can.

Another major obstacle we now face is the threat of COVID-19. We will be putting up all measures to ensure the safety of our cast and crew on set. These measures include the wearing of face masks on set and a negative covid test prior to arriving on set for those that are not vaccinated. The safety of everyone on set is our #1 priority. No one should face any serious injuries for the creation of a film.
