Your donations will fund a one-day shoot of the film, covering meal expenses, breakfast, lunch, and dinner, travel expenses for both cast and crew, and also enable us to purchase and construct a number of props. Our shooting location is an hour's drive away into Michigan. All of the cast, seven of them, amazing actors that they are, have generously dedicated themselves to the project. The least we can do is feed the cast and crew, keep them warm, and get them safely back home. We will have a skeleton crew, one sound person, and, as always, I personally will be shooting the entire day's footage. No matter what, we will shoot this short film. Your contributions will enable us to capture all of our scenes over the course of a day, continue on through the editing process, and get us started on our way to post-production, promotion, and festival submission. And no matter the size of your contribution, or if you just can't, and we understand, your support in sharing our campaign with your friends and family on Face Book and Twitter and spreading the word is invaluable! Thank You!!
Keith Dukavicius, writer, director, cinematographer
Being voted "Chicago's Best Underground Filmmaker" by the Chicago Reader, (2010), was a great honor. In response, the Gene Siskel Film Center hosted my first film retrospective. Looking forward, I realized that I had to "upgrade" to bigger and better productions and casts. Artistically, we're unstoppable, but in the end, it's all about preparation. We still may be borrowing equipment, but with this ensemble of actors I will achieve a finish and polish with this short that I've anticipated for years. It's going to be a blast!

Kestutis Nakas, as Kazu
Kęstutis Nakas is an American playwright, author, performer, director, and teacher whose work has been presented at the New York Shakespeare Festival, Yale Repertory Theatre, La Mama, Dixon Place, P.S. 122, St. Mark’s Church in the Bowery, 8 BC, The Kitchen, Highways, and numerous other national venues. Nakas was active in New York’s East Village performance scene and was Artistic Director of Gates of Dawn, which showcased cutting edge performers such as Holly Hughes. He has taught at New York University, UCLA, CUNY, and the University of New Mexico. His best-known piece is the 4-part historical comic farce When Lithuania Ruled the World. Parts I through III of the series combining Lithuanian history and mythology were produced in New York City in the 1980s and 1990s; Part IV was produced in Chicago in 2003. According to The New York Times review of this play, "Mr. Nakas is a very clever subverter of all versions of history...Experiencing this dizzying spectacle is certainly different and quite exhilarating, perhaps like seeing all the operas of Wagner and Mussorgsky jammed together and staged in Grand Central Terminal at rush hour."
