This is really hard for me.

Asking strangers for money.

Unfortunately, life doesn't always turn out the way you want.

I was recently diagnosed with MS, an auto-immune disease where the immune system attacks the brain and central nervous system. The past few years have been full of ups and downs. Mostly down, especially physically. Chronic nerve pain, numbness and strange neurological phenomenons to mention a few. When I think I figure stuff out, new things happens.

The scariest part of this disease is that I can end up needing 24 hour care, losing the ability to speak, walk, all the things we take for granted. It can happen at any time, with no warning. And that scares the crap out of me.

Here in Norway there's not really much I can do about this. I can use medications that slow the progression, but that's about it. These medicines have side effects like liver failure, cancer and, well, death. Cool, eh?

There is this one procedure that can permanently stop the progression. It's called HSCT, Haemopathic stem cell therapy. They basically harvest your own stem cell, kill the immune system with chemo therapy, then reintroduce the stem cells to build a new and hopefully healthy immune system.

I want to do this.

I'm sick of being in pain.

I'm sick of being dizzy.

I'm sick of being tired all the time.

I'm sick of taking medicines.

I'm sick of saying no to people.

I'm sick of missing out.

I'm sick of being sick.

The procedure isn't available in Norway unless you reach certain criteria. I can't sit and wait until I'm sick enough to get it here, so I've applied at different facilities around the world. The price ranges from $50,000 and up, but I realize I probably won't reach that goal here. I'm going to do it no matter what, so every penny counts and I will be forever grateful of any donations.

Please get I'm touch if you have any questions, and like my Facebook page for updates :)
