How do we use theater to contribute to a green and healthy planet? Our answer to this question is Green Theatre Collective. By performing in “green” spaces and keeping all aspects of the production sustainable (from advertisement to costuming), we hope to use theater as a vehicle to raise awareness towards the need to preserve the Earth.

In June 2011, we will launch GTC’s inaugural production of Shakespeare’s As You Like It in our hometown of Brooklyn before taking it on tour to green locations throughout the country. All money raised will go to support production costs for our first show. Production costs will include rehearsal space, hiring a director and actors, advertising, and traveling expenses just to name a few!

Your generous contribution will help Green Theatre Collective carry on the tradition of live performance while working towards a sustainable way of life.
