Großväterland ("Grandfatherland") is a 160 page full color graphic novel that tells true german war stories from the Second World War – backed by research and texts explaining the historic facts surrounding the stories.
- The stories are told from the perspective of the last living eyewitnesses. We don’t want to tell the history of WWII but stories from WWII
- Grossväterland is going to establish an objective view of the history via the subjectivity of the storyteller – without sugarcoating or lecturing
- For historical and sociopolitical validation of the project we are collaborating closely with historic experts and institutions
