Please excuse the way this is written but I suffer with dyslexia quite badly and righting is something I don't enjoy, you may find I have used the wrong words or my grammar may not be correct.

MY name is John and I have been married 30 years this year, I have 4 children and 3 grandchildren.

I don’t even know how to start this message. As I have seen all kinds of people that need help in different countrys on the INDIEGOGO web site who need help in one way or another and who’s going to help me buy donate, I kept putting it off but kept thinking about it so I am telling my story and it is then up to the people who read my story if they would like to help me.

I will let you know my story as best I can in the shortest way I can, even if you are unable to help would you be kind enough to link it to your Facebook or Twitter page to help spread the word for me, I have my own Facebook page but I have not used it for years and I just don't understand Twitter.

I was diagnosed with dyslexia as a child and suffer with it quite badly, it has caused me problems at both my school's, it was a nightmare, when I left primary school I could not even read and numbers were like Egyptian hieroglyphics loads of symbols that did not make any sense. School was also a very difficult time as I always seam to attract the bullies and this followed me through out my time at Primary and Secondary school.

When I left secondary school there was a number of jobs I wanted to do but my dream job was I always wanted to do since I was a young boy was be in the Royal Marines, I went to the recruitment office to join and was informed I had to take an entrance test which I did and unfortunate I failed but this was the same for many other jobs and something I had to get used to, I would have also liked to join one of the many Police forces like City of London, Metropolitan, MOD, British Transport Police. and I would have also like to have a job like, Fireman or join the Ambulance service.

Because of my dyslexia I had to tried and find jobs that were more manual work that had very little or no paperwork. I did end up going into the Army but this was not a happy time as I was again bullied during my service and I was not the only one, I had every intention of serving 22 years so I would get a full pension later on in life but due to my treatment this was not possible and left after three and a half years, I had been in the cadet for around 10 years and I also served 3 years in the TA and never had any problems.

When I left the Army I had number of security job which are always long hours and known for not being well paid.

As I already said that I tried to find jobs that were manual work with little or no paper work.

Some years ago I was unfortunate to sustained a back injury at work, I ended up have to have surgery on my back which was not 100% successful .

Because of my back condition I ended up being out of work for nearly 6/7 years, this was an awful time as I like to be working and doing something. It was also very difficult time financially and we ended having to cash in two endowments to help us get by. After being out of work for a long period I wanted to get back into work so I chould hold my head up high, at the time of going back to work we had a debts of just over £20.000, we have managed to get this down to just under £10,000, since I been back in work.

I was very worried about trying to find a job, who wants to employ a dyslexic man with a bad back, I even went for a job as a postman and had to take a entrance test which I failed, this was a very low point for me just to put letters in a door, after a while I managed to find a job and have been been back at work now for around 11 years.

The debt that was built up was not caused by lavish holidays as we have only had two holidays in 35 years, we do not have Sky TV, we only have one small car, we don't smoke and we have no pets and I don't drink and my wife likes a glass of wine now and again, we don't even buy each other Christmas presents we just cannot afford it. There are repairs that need doing to the house but we have to leave them due to the finances, it is like this all the time. some week we even struggel to find the money to get fuel for the car so I can get to work.

The problem I worry about the most is my mortgage it is due to end in about 8 years and I will not have the funds £67,000 to pay back when the time comes as we cashed in the endowments when I was out of work due to my back condition, I have been to banks for help and they don't want to help us, we are black listed and because I am on a low wage they also say we would not be able to afford it. I have around another 7 years of paying my debt back and by the time we have paid that back it will be to late to do anything about the mortgage, even if we were able to get a mortgage now it would be to late now as the repayments would be to high.

It is quite ironic the mortgage company we are with have taken us to court three time when I was out of work due to mortgage arrears and tried to reposes our home, some years ago I tried stoping an armed robbery in one of there branches, I grabbed the bloke with the gun and ended up getting hit over the head by his accomplice, I had to have stitches because of the wound, I would not try and do it again for them due to the way they have treated us.

Unfortunately I am now suffering with sever depression, I have been put on medication but the doctor cannot increase the dosage as I'm on the maximum. I have started counselling but they have stopped it as they say I will not get any better as the core problem will not go away.

I have many dark thoughts as I have just had enough of my life, I go to sleep at night and hope I don't wake up in the morning. Some one said to me a short while ago make the most of your time here as it's not a dress rehearsal, if it was a dress rehearsal I would not come back for the main performance.

I like to think of myself as being a proud man am I'm very very embarrassed having to do this but I don't no what else to do.

I did not know what amount to put so I have put the amount of the morgage £67,000. we don't want the £10,000 debt paid off we will pay that I just want to save my home before the bank takes it.

Thank you so much for reading and as I said above even if you cannot donate please share on your Facebook and Twitter to help spread the word for me.

I hope one day that I can come back on this site and help other people who need it.

Thank you again.

Kindest Regards

John
