Lana's Story

UPDATE #3: DONE! Success! THANK YOU!! THANK YOU!! THANK YOU!! THANK YOU! Sincerely and from the bottom of my heart to everyone who contributed to this campaign. I honestly had my doubts and felt bad for asking for help. I am ending the campaign. I have met and exceeded my goal. This is beyond remarkable!
I can't thank people enough!
I know I need to pay people back. I will think of something. Hopefully things will turn out better for me in my personal life as well. Have a wonderful day!
:D
UPDATE #2: Even though the vet agreed to do a payment plan, I have not returned to work yet. If you can find it in your hearts to help us raise as close to the full amount, it would take a huge financial strain off us. I promise you this is going to a very good cause. The antibiotics have reduced the size of the lumps drastically but Lana finished her antibiotics today.
UPDATE: The vet as agreed to do a payment plan for the surgery. She is scheduled to go in March 10. I will keep the campaign open in case none of my interviews work out, which would be really sad for me.
I can't thank people enough for the support. I still would like raise as close to the goal as possible to just to offset financial burden on us.
THANK YOU ALL SO MUCH!
STORY:

Our 3-year-old mastiff mix needs cysts removed from her hind leg. We don't know what they are, we fear they could be cancerous. Only having them removed and examined will help us determine what they are:

  • Lana has been with our family since she was 8 weeks old. Her siblings attacked her a few weeks before we were scheduled to bring her home. Fortunately she has been doing really well with us. She loves both our kids, She is a very gentle, loyal, happy dog.
  • A few months ago two lumps appeared on her hind leg. They have since grown larger and are now open and bleeding. We have her on antibiotics to prevent infection. In order to determine what these cysts are, they need to be removed and studied. There is no point in doing a biopsy first. Also, it would double expenses we can't afford.
  • Helping us achieve this goal will allow us to help our dog stay healthy and alive. Once we know what we are dealing with we can map a course from there.

What We Need & What You Get

Here is what the costs will cover:

  1. Pre-op exam
  2. Medications for during and post surgery
  3. Removing the cysts
  4. Having the cysts examined to determine what they are.
  • I will be honest, other than deep appreciation and gratitude I don't know what to offer you for your contribution. If I was able to give you a monetary thank you, I wouldn't be asking for help to cover the surgery.

The Impact

The impact of your contribution will help ensure we keep our furry friend.
  • Helping stop a bad health situation before it gets worse or even deadly will be the best thing you can do.

Risks & Challenges

The main risk and challenge with this is not addressing a health issue early on. We don't know what we are dealing with until we can have the cysts removed.

  • I will keep everyone informed of the outcome of the surgery and provide updated about her post-surgery progress.

Thank you for reading about our personal pet cause. Any contribution is greatly appreciated.
