Who I Am
Hello everyone! My name is Miss Liz and I am a trans pioneer.
Born and raised in the San Francisco Bay Area, I was fortunate to be exposed to a culture where I could thrive in and carefully carve out the identity I carry today. On top of that, I was blessed to have grown up amongst such stunning architecture, which I remember admiring from a very early age. Visiting my grandmother in Pacific Heights planted the seed for what would later become my passion: restoring historic homes.
Today, I have committed myself to preserving some of America's finest and most important treasure houses and in doing so, being a role model for those who were once like myself, looking for an identity that they can relate to.
With the Florence Ballard Home Restoration project, I hope to revitalize the legacy that The Supremes left behind in Detroit. Not only were they an integral part of Motown music, but this house was also a cornerstone for culture, events, and celebrity parties. With your help, we can restore this part of their legacy and honor the trail they blazed for so many.
I hope you will join me on this all-important journey, and it is my sincere wish that I may inspire and encourage you to live your best life as well.
What We Need & What You Get
While the bones of the house are still in good shape, much of the house has fallen into disrepair over the last few decades. The roof is in dire need of repair, the ceiling suffered water damage, and the walls are in rough shape.
In addition to the essential restoration items, I plan to turn the house into a place where The Supremes' legacy can be enjoyed by all. There will be a large mural of The Supremes, the basement will be restored into its once beautiful speakeasy, and Motown memorability will be spread throughout the home.
We need a little over $100,000 to do the restoration properly. It's a big ask, but I'm confident that we can band together and achieve this!

The Impact
This project will restore a crucial aspect of not only The Supremes' legacy but also the Motown legacy in Detroit. In addition, this will get the younger generation invested in music and the history of their city.
We want to solidify this history by petitioning the city to change the name to Supreme Blvd. We believe that their legacy is an important aspect of Detroit's history.
