Rodney Farms, born out of a Proud Family Passion for the Horses they love so much, is struggling to keep them Alive.
My name is Terry Sauerbier. Growing up in the Rochester area living in western NY most of my life, and attending Rochester Institute of Technology in the early 80's I actually used to live on this farm in my undergraduate years after moving off campus which is just down the road about 5 miles from this once glorious horse property.
I loved seeing the horses out my living room window and off the back deck when I lived there. Now 30 years later the owners Barbara 64, Clint 75, and her mother Bette 101, are struggling to keep not only their dream alive, but their remaining beloved horses as well, trying to survive on only three social security checks alone which they receive once a month, to not only try to sustain themselves but maintain the animals they love so much.
By making a small contribution, at least we will know that the remaining horses will be able to be cared for a while longer and not have to be removed from their owners, due to the current situation.
With Your help, I hope we can raise at least $5000 to go towards feed, grain, bedding, and any hay they may need. The Galbraith's wish to attempt to keep at least 30 out of the remaining 50 to 60 of the horses on the farm to attempt to rejuvenate the breeding part of the business they know so well, so they can be self sustaining once again.

Rodney Farms Article
The article covers the current unfortunate situation but to no fault of thier own, the horses situation can be helped and it would be a shame to see the animals suffer needlessly or have to be sold at auction or removed from the prosperty and their owners.
I used to care for 3 horses on a small farm and would never want to have this happen to them, they are incredible majestic animals and can provide many more years of joy to many people if they are given the opportunity right where they are.
I have always had a passion for these animals since I was a child, never missing an episode of Big Valley, Gunsmoke, or The Lone Ranger, and even in my 50's now, wished I had more resources to provide more as well, but felt compelled to create this small fundraiser to at least make an attempt to help Barbara and Clint Galbriath out in some way.
They have provided for their passion for decades, created a thriving business througout the 60's 70's 80's & 90's and contributed to the community as well.
It would be a shame to see them lose everything now including the horses they love so much. They would be compeltely devastated in the process.
Please share this where-ever you can, use this sites share tools and let your facebook friends, twitter friends know what we are attempting to accomplish in the next month or so, helping keep these beloved animals alive for a chance to live out their normal lives happy and healthy.
