The Center for Marxist Education is in need of your help! We have operated for more than four decades on a voluntary basis as one of the few openly Marxist-oriented spaces in Greater Boston. Much more that just a bookstore, the Center has a lending library and is available as a meeting space for local groups and organizations. In addition to regular lectures and discussions we also host film showings, poetry readings, and have had visitors speak from around the world.

With no corporate sponsors (The capitalists are not big fans!) we have managed to stay open and make improvements to the space purely on donations but...our rent is going up! The gentrification of Central Square and the creeping development from our neighbors Harvard and MIT have sent our rent upward by nearly 50%.

In addition to helping us stay open with your financial donation we are also encourgaing folks to volunteer your time at the center or submit ideas for events you might like to host. 

Our fundraising goal will help offset this rent increase ensuring the Center does not fall to the weight of skyrocketing rent prices in Cambridge. If you would like to send a physical check our address is:
