The Philippines were recently struck by the most violent and malevolent storm recorded in human history. The town of Hingatungan is a mere 43 miles away from Tacloban where the death toll has exceeded 10,000. The Hingatungan shores have been riddled by a consistent tide of bodies. Amidst the chaos and desperation, survivors have had no choice but to dispose of the bodies immediately to eliminate risk of disease. There is a shortage of gasoline and electricity contributing to an already dire situation for the newly homeless and abandoned citizens.

My family has roots and relatives deep within the foundations of the Hingatungan community. Between my immediate family and friends in California, we have accumulated a small fund of $1200 to send for Hingatungan relief.  We now ask for any gracious individuals who would like to contribute to a venerable cause. 100% percent of your donation will go towards providing food rations to survivors and repairing damaged property. The relief fund will be in the hands of the citizens, including members of my family, and the church community of Hingatungan.

Any and all contributions will be greatly appreciated! Your help can make a huge impact for the people of Hingatangan. I will provide weekly updates detailing the utilization of our relief fund and the tangible effects of our generosity on the local community.
