Housing for African Children and Widows
Goshen Ministries was started by Pastor Bigimba Ngabo, a refugee, to encourage faith and care for orphans and widowed mothers-the victims of civil war in Burundi, Africa. Unfortunately, the resurgence of civil war again in Burundi in 2015 has required the orphans, widows, and widow's children to flee to other neighboring East African countries (first to Rwanda, then to Uganda) to find a safe and stable environment for all.
Goshen Ministries presently cares for orphans and widows in Uganda. As of Spring 2016, over sixty orphans live with the Ministry's house parents and are being provided food and housing. In addition, three widows and their combined fourteen children of in rented homes in Uganda.
Goshen Ministries is seeking support for funds to cover the expenses (rent and utilities for three houses) of caring for our widows and their children from now through the end of 2017. This amount is approximately $900 a month or $13,500 total.
When this goal is met, we hope to provide for even more widows and orphans. Would YOU be willing to help us with these expenses?
Thank YOU for Caring!
