I'm Michael D'Antuono, an artist and activist dedicated to confronting socio-political injustices.
Be it collusion with a foreign adversary to tip a presidential election, obstruction of justice, violating the emoluments clause of the constitution, or just being obviously unfit to serve, evidence suggests Donald Trump has committed more impeachable offenses than any president in history. Yet the only people with the power to impeach, the Republican led legislative branch, shows no interest in doing so. We must convince them to do the right thing and put country before party.
That's why I painted, "The Elephant In The Room" and why I created this campaign to have a fleet of "Impeach TrumpTrucks" circle the Capitol Building when they return to Capitol Hill. I want to send them a message they can't ignore, that they must impeach Trump.
But that can only happen with your help. Each mobile billboard costs about $7,000. I'm aiming to get three. The more donations you contribute, the more trucks we can hire, the more powerful the message. I will employ as many or as few trucks as donations permit. Any leftover funds that aren't enough for another truck will be put to use promoting the cause in other ways.
What will we get for our efforts? I'm hoping that the fleet will be such a spectacle, it will focus the national dialogue on the partisan priorities of the Republicans on the hill, pressuring them to impeach Trump. Those who donate will receive perks from me including stickers, t-shirts, posters and fine art prints of "The Elephant In The Room." Even those who can't afford a donation can be a part of it by spreading the word about the campaign through social media.
WE can make a difference. I've been fortunate to have had some impact with my art in the past on institutional racism, gun control and other important issues. Having an unprincipled, unqualified and unstable man who flagrantly violates our constitution and is apparently under the thumb of a foreign adversary as the President of the United States is a serious problem. Each and everyone one of us needs to do all we can to solve it. I hope you will join me in this endeavor.
