Short Summary
Would you trust a 10 year old to make your wedding cake? My mom's boss did!

35 years later I'm still making delicious, beautiful and fun cakes and pastries.
Fillin' N' Chillin' was a very successful bakery despite a terrible location. We developed the best reputation one could hope for. Country clubs, restaurants and individuals who have tried our desserts recommend us highly. Word of mouth is our foundation.

Plans were made to expand into a big, beautiful new bakery. Over a year was spent getting the new location ready. Just before opening, divorce changed everything.
Now without any equipment and few assets, I have decided to "eat crow" and ask for help. I refuse to give up what I love just because of a not so amicable divorce. Your contributions will help me begin again.
What We Need & What You Get
Jensen Beach, FL is my new residence. There aren't any affordable locations that are already built out, so I will need to start from scratch. This project will cost approximately $39,450.
The bigger expenses are as follows:
Vent Hood $8,000 Plumbing $4,800 Ovens $5,800 Freezer $3,500 Refrigerator $2,000 20 Quart Mixer $ 1,000 Rent (4 months) $2,600 Labor/Permits $2,000 Work Tables/Smallwares/Displays/Checkout Counter/Interior Improvements/Inventory make up the balance.
Your donations will give you a chance to try cookies
and fully loaded, gluten free or vegan cakes.

Maybe even plan for a wedding cake.

If there is no wedding in your future, a dessert party tray may be just the ticket.

How about a fun baking class with treats to bring home?

Funds that are raised will be applied to build out first. I have learned how to continue baking with a 2' x 3' counter, a counter top mixer and few supplies. It's amazing how you can make due when you need to.
The Impact
Your contributions will allow me to start providing desserts to restaurants, country clubs and individuals in Sebastian, Vero Beach, Jensen Beach, and Stuart.
You can taste the love I have for baking when you try my desserts. I put my heart into everything I do. Keeping positive is the key.
I am still baking through this transition, but every day I lose a few more customers due to not having a physical location right now. It's time to start building up again!
Risks & Challenges
Starting from scratch to open a new bakery is not an easy process. There will be budget over runs, permit hold ups and general obstacles. Thankfully, I have built three other restaurants, and two bakeries. This is the first time I will be doing it on my own, but I am confident that I know the process and will succeed.
Other Ways You Can Help
You may not be able to contribute financially. Maybe you or someone you know is a licensed contractor in St. Lucie County. Donated time will be welcomed as well.
Please spread the word through your facebook, indiegogo share tools and any other means. My current facebook page is Jennifer's Bakery & Cafe' or Fillin' N' Chillin'.
