A Legend is born...
Jimmie Stagger's musical journey started in 1965 when he finally convinced his parents to allow him to get a guitar. Renting his guitar for $1 a week on a 12 week program that included lessons, Jimmie scraped together enough money to buy his first guitar and a legend was born.
Equally comfortable on acoustic, resonator, electric guitar and mandolin, Jimmie has become known as a timeless story teller. The mastery of his instrument, strong textured vocals and authenticity has made Jimmie one of the most sought after roots musicians in the mid-west and gained the respect of fellow musicians all around the world.

Why now...Why IndieGoGo...
An idea was born in February of 2013. While singing a song for Hank Mowery's award winning CD Account To Me, it became apparent that Jimmie's soulful voice and guitar playing fit the All Analog format of The Goon Lagoon perfect...this CD needed to be done. Award winning owner/engineer/producer Tommy Schichtel and Jimmie discussed recording a full disc, in the right environment, with the right musicians, pushing the envelope and breaking down "blues" stereo-types with one goal in mind...to make the absolute best Album Jimmie has ever recorded and one of the best you will ever hear.
To do this we need some help! While we will be budgeting and doing everything we can to save money, we want to absolute best product we can produce. A CD that will bring national and international attention to this local treasure.

We really feel that the time has come to feature Jimmie Stagger in a way that brings to life all of the qualities of his music, in a way he has never been featured before. The goal isn't to make a CD that is OK and that Jimmie can sell from the stage. The goal is to make a CD that draws National and International attention to a musician that deserves that kind of recognition.
