As many of you may know, on November 8, Typhoon Haiyan devastated the southern part of the Philippines. Locally known as Typhoon Yolanda, Haiyan was not only 3.5 times stronger than Hurricane Katrina, but also one of the worst typhoons ever recorded. Although it has been almost a week since this tragedy, the full extent of the damage has yet to be calculated. It is currently estimated that in Tacloban alone, the city which sustained much of the typhoon's force, the death toll is over 10,000. Millions of people either do not have access to clean water, food, shelter or electricity. Given the devastation caused by the typhoon, current resources are being stretched thin.

We are Filipino students currently studying at Tufts University. Although we are currently thousands of miles away, we are doing our best to help our fellow Filipinos back home.
The proceeds from this campaign will be donated to The Philippine Red Cross (
