Recently, the senior class of South Iredell High School planned to perform traditional pranks during senior prank week. The pranks were meant to be harmless to celebrate the fun of being a high school graduate, a right of passage if you will, of us moving on to our next adventure. One thought to be a harmless prank performed, turned out to be anything but harmless. The instructions given to each student were to place simple alarm clocks inside vacant lockers, set the clocks to ring at different times than secure them. The expected result was to annoy the teachers and interrupt class time with noise and also by making it diffult to shut them off due to them being secured in the lockers and nothing more. No other mention of anything else was discussed with this prank. As far as Shannon knew all seniors were participating with the alarm clock prank.

Unfortunately, the thought to be harmless fun prank initated an immediate evacuation of the school. Shannon made 2 seperate attempts to alert faculty about the prank when she realized it was mistaken for more than just a prank. As a result of her doing that and the right thing of stepping forward, Shannon Farrell is being charged with 2 Class "H" felonies, along with the senior class president Le'kia Hall. As you could imagine this will destroy and rob both of these students of their bright futures, career goals and college aspirations set for August 2015. Shannon Farrell has been a stright "A" student most of her school career and is currently the editor in chief for the year book She is active in sports, a respectful and compassionate and loved person and volunteers in her community and church often. Now she is afraid to leave her home due to media coverage and negative public opinion. Shannon, Le'kia and their familes have suffered tremendously because of this whole situation being blow out of proportion. These girls have lost the most memorable part of their last weeks of high school such as the senior luau, senior awards ceremony and senior fun day . Their entire community has been supporting these girls as much as possible for which they are greatful but in order to pursue the justice Shannon so richly deserves her family will incur emense legal fees which they simply cannot afford on their own. Her mother took a short leave from work through this and her father is disabled.

They have been humbuled by all the support so far. If you believe that Shannon Farrell has been wronged, and deserves justice please show your support here.

We are all generously asking for donations for Shannon. Anything helps and any amount is treated with equal gratitude and respect no matter how big or small. Please find it in your heart to support her and her family!

If you cannot make a monetary donation, we ask that you please keep them in your thoughts and prayers frequently. Thank you! On behalf of the Farrell's
