Synopsis
It is 75-years since the collapse. The weak have been culled. Daemons on black wings fill the sky and the fight for survival is more dire than ever. As the seeds of a neo-civilization arise from the ashes of Tartary, the old world is forgotten and with it, the old lessons.
Will the hungry hands of corporation close around the heart of this once great nation or will the children of ash retain their freedom and autonomy – if faced with an apocalypse, would you trade your liberty for security?
This dystopian series will follow the tribulations of two NOIRCO Scarecrows (Jack Williams and Scarlett Grayson) as they defend their post, the remote landlocked farmstead of Gwydir (Pronounced: Glai-dah) from the Ziz and marauding gangs.
Under the tutelage and guidance of their abusive drunk mentor, the legendary Scarecrow Superman, Lloyd Sawtell, the surrogate siblings struggle to find meaning and purpose in their thankless lives.
Struggling to balance the tedium of their job with the sudden peril and urgency it entails, the passionate but simple gunbunny, Scarlett, finds herself seeking an escape from her responsibilities, frequently succumbing to distraction and carelessness. While her stalwart older brother, Jack, tries to give meaning to his struggles, scars, and abuses by surpassing the legend of his (deadbeat) adopted father.
However, when Lloyd’s latest reincarnation does not go as planned, the two find themselves saddled with more questions than answers, and shouldered with a responsibility neither particularly want, nor are prepared for…
