I've been re-wording this (what will sure to become a Long-Ass Missive; sorry)...Fundraiser Story so many times now as I want/need to convey to all reading how truly significant this "Medical/Father-Sons Relationship Combo-Plate" truly is to myself, Kevin Tracey McKinley (48; Ontario, Canada) and my two beautiful, empathetic Sons (10; 14) both of whom live with their Mum in Beaverton, Oregon; USA. We have been separated since September, 2015 (every single day I think of them at 8:10AM getting on the bus (where they are both "SUMMA" students); 8:45PM when we'd crawl under the covers and read "Diary Wimpy Kid," and/or "Jacob Two-Two") because of both financial, and most importantly, my health issues. I have been saving my pennies by staying at my sisters' homes and putting them towards flights to Oregon whenever possible; however, it has come to pass that my medical concerns (LPHS; Ureter/Kidney Disease which led to Right Nephrectomy, Left Auto-Transplant with near-daily "Passing of Kidney Stones;" Primary Liver Cancer (Adjunt Chemo) which was in remission; Rheumatoid Arthritis (erosions in fingers, hands, toes, feet, cervical & sporadic spine(s); Multitude of symptoms brought on by allergic reaction to MS-Contin (had implantable Medtronic Morphine Pain Pump surgically placed; doctor did not check to see if I was allergic to medication beforehand...so if any Medical Lawsuit Lawyers reading this who practice in the State of Oregon...this $$$ can pay for boys' Harvard Tuitions). Results: Loss of 80 pounds, all teeth fell out (cannot lie supine or else have 2-hour headache), depression, blind in one eye). Scheduled to have this surgically removed as it causes severe pain now resting on ribs, but this will be very expensive).
Basically, I am either "Wheel-Chair Bound" within the next short while and/or running out of time completely. This all began when I just began my Doctorate of Education in 2000. I am super-resilient because I always had my boys to think of, Bruce Springsteen to listen to (Personal Side Note to anybody within Bruce's earshot: I have seen him in concert over 50 times in 13 countries since I was 15; I would love for him to sign Peyton's Telecaster.. He owes me; lol!) and Harley-Davidson Motorcycles (sold my last Softail to cover OHSU Medical Bills (still in excess of $350000US; I can afford $15/Month (CDN).
Final Words (I promise): I truly need this $$$ so that I can get back to Oregon, get a small apartment, continue my medical treatment and spend what time, quality-time, I have left with my boys. I left work on March, 31st, 2004 and have not been able to go back; therefore, I have $3.41 to my name, no savings, nothing to leave my boys (but a 320-page memoir I wrote to them explaining why I was forced to be away from them), no car (though my feet hurt so much I can't walk to the mailbox), skip picking up my R/Xs on many occasions....
I would love to help them with their "Bucket-Lists:" (A): Pokemon World's Tournament; (B): Pokemon Nationals Tournament; (C): Shediac, New Brunswick (my hometown); (D): Bringing both boys to see "The Boss" in New Zealand (last chance we'll get to do this)...actually, this one is geared more towards Yours Truly...
My boys are innocent and truly deserve to be with their Father, whether I expire next month or last until this coming Fall.
I have one (1) WISH/PRAYER every time I go to MASS:
"PLEASE, HEAVENLY FATHER, do not let me fall down dead so far away from Finn and Peyton so that they'd receive such a devastating phone call in the middle of the night. Let me be with them, in hospice where we can take a "small break" from seeing one another. PLEASE GOD."
