Lake Effect is the story of a group of friends that go out into a storm to try to locate one member of the group's terminally ill father. Once they brave the elements they realize that there is more than just a storm to worry about. A creature with telekinetic abilities, that can freeze your insides with a simple touch has entered the city along with the storm to wreak havoc upon the community.

We've raised some of the funds already and will be getting our creature made by Immortal Masks, a company revolutionizing The Silicone Mask Industry with the highest quality masks ever created.

What We Need

We need money for equipment, costumes, props, transportation, expenses and food. Most of our crew and talent are working for free! We'd like to pay everyone for their hard work but realistically might not be able to do that unless we go over our goal.

SNOW SHARK and THE LEGEND OF SIX FINGERS were mostly crowd funded films and both received worldwide distribution deals. We intend on seeking distribution for this film as well.

SAM QUALIANA wrote and Directed THE LEGEND OF SIX FINGERS which has received a distribution deal and is out on DVD and VOD. Qualiana won the Filmmaker to Watch Award at Buffalo Screams Horror Film Festival, and his short film SOMETHING AFTER MIDNIGHT won Best Horror Short Film. His debut feature, SNOW SHARK: ANCIENT SNOW BEAST, won “Best Title” at PollyGrind Film Festival and was released on DVD by Alternative Cinema/POP Cinema Studios.
