We’ve built the apps for Android
and iPhone. Now we need your help to get to the next level.
A small group of committed programmers have developed a compelling social networking application that lets users and businesses connect with places and people in a way that conventional social networks cannot.
With your help, our goal for this first year is to build a vibrant base of users committed to exploring the possibilities of our application in various areas of contemporary life.
In return for your contribution, you will have the opportunity to be one of the first users to register a unique username on our network before we open it to the general public. Your username on Lassoh is your calling card, your nickname, your brand, your cause, your marketing slogan.
Unlike other usernames, you can transfer and sell your Lassoh username and the account to anyone you please. So as our network grows in the coming months and years, so will the value of the name you’ve chosen to register today.
Imagine being able to reach out and talk to people in a particular neighborhood or district. Imagine being able to walk down the street and see what patrons are saying about a new restaurant or what events are going on in that part of your city without having to search for this information on a website. Imagine talking to people at world changing events and becoming part of the conversation with the press of a finger on a map. Imagine searching for content from a map to see what people are doing in other parts of your city or the world.
Lassoh is more than just a network to meet
and communicate with people. Our application is a way for you to create contexts which you can use for a wide
variety purposes, propelled by your imagination.
· Meet people locally, form
groups of any kind.
·
Buy, sell, rent, and barter
·
Report and discover news
stories.
·
Post discussion topics, start
petitions, poll users.
·
Advertise a garage sale locally.
Lassoh is the do everything social network, designed by you, for you, connecting you with real-world communities.
It is not, in other words, designed for a single purpose but rather, it is a new way of interacting with people and places. How you use the network is limited only by your imagination.
Lassoh has a very unique approach to its
usernames that we think you'll appreciate.
We looked at the social networking landscape and saw how users were
committing an enormous amount of time and energy building up their SNS accounts
professionally for their businesses, yet were unable to take advantage of the
underlying value of this investment.
We decided to give our users the
opportunity to capitalize on the goodwill they create in their accounts through
their hard work. The account you start
on Lassoh, with all the customers and clients that follow you, is yours to own,
sell, and transfer alongside your business, much as you would your intellectual
property and your brand.
Free or Paid
On the Lassoh network, users have the
option of registering either a "free" or "paid" username. The difference between the two is that
the "paid" username can be transferred
and resold through our system from one user to another, while a "free" username cannot. The username you register through Indiegogo is
a "paid" username. We will open the network to "free" username users in the coming weeks.
The "paid" username option is not a promotional gimmick. The
initial cost of the purchase is necessary in order to discourage users from squatting on "free" usernames for the purpose of holding them for
resale, which would ultimately make it difficult to maintain a
viable market of usernames and allow users to transfer and sell their
accounts.
We are U.S. Patent Pending
By registering a username, you will be one

Your contributions help us keep developing and gain traction in our market. Your funding
goes directly to the talented programmers we've hired to develop and enhance features
for the app to create a more seamless Lassoh experience. The funding also helps
pay for our servers and traffic, the monitoring of our network and the preparation
for the internationalization of the Lassoh community.
In particular, we are prioritizing two
critical features on our app—the feed list and map search.
To expand the variety of ways the
application can be used, we will enhance the functionality of the feed list by
allowing our users to add and remove feeds from their list. This way the user will be able to select from
potentially hundreds of different feed categories and sub-categories. To suggest a feed category idea, you can send
it to us at feedlist@lassoh.com.
The next step in the development of our map
search feature will be to allow users to search and open lassohs directly from
the map interface. We will also add a search field to
the map display from which users will be able to search for specific posts by term, category and geographical area.
For much of the past two decades, network
technologies have taken the social experience and transformed it into an
impersonal, vacuous and fragmented exchange of information. We’ve driven
it onto a screen and removed it from the local spaces we inhabit. At the same time, the bonds that once held us
together frayed against the onslaught of urban sprawl, the superstore and
economic decline.
Our mission here is to
use the same network technologies to re-integrate the social experience back into our neighbourhoods and our streets, between local
residents and the shops and services owned and operated by individuals invested
in their communities. We want our
network to be a public forum where people can re-imagine these bonds, to build
stronger civic networks, revitalize local economies and stimulate a greater
diversity of social experiences.
You can read this or you can register a username and try it out for yourself. Of course, you can also wait till our campaign is over and register a free account.

Bazoo
Using the bazoo feature, you can block another individual’s content from ever being displayed in your account or seeing your posts.
