The long road to 'Last Day of Darkness'
In 2001, Green Carnation released the concept album 'Light of Day, Day of Darkness.' It became an instant cult classic, and put the band, and the small Norwegian city of Kristiansand, on the map.
Now, 15 years later, Green Carnation performs their masterpiece live in its entirety - for the first time! We have followed the band since the first band meeting in July 2015, leading up to the grand finale in Kilden, Kristiansand in November 2016. This documentary concert film will feature concerts and candid, behind-the-scenes footage from their 2016 world tour, and capture the epic, final show at Kilden. Featuring multi-camera production, footage from rehearsals, touring and interviews with the members of the band, it will be Green Carnation as you've never seen or heard them before.
But we need your help!! Producing an archive piece such as this requires a significant budget, and without the backing of a major commercial label, is a very expensive endeavour. Your contributions will go to help cover the costs of filming, production, and perhaps most important: giving the highest quality look and sound to the final film.
This is our one opportunity to make a film that captures the essence of Green Carnation's epic 'Light of Day, Day of Darkness', and if you're a fan of the band, or love progressive rock and metal, then this is great opportunity for you to help us in the process!

What We Need & What You Get
To capture the majesty, power and artistry of 'Light of Day, Day of Darkness' we need to raise funds to pay for many of the premium post-production elements of a cinema-quality film; editing, premium sound mixing, color grading, graphics, etc. You contribution, of any amount, will mean you are a part of making this the best-looking and best-sounding prog rock music doc out there.
And to encourage you and your friends to help us achieve our goal, we are offering a variety of great rewards. Beyond the film itself, we're also offering posters, limited edition cuts, even an exclusive screening of the 'Under the Dam' concert film. Check out our list of rewards in the right-hand column, and claim yours while they last!
This is a "flexible funding" campaign, so we will use whatever funds we raise to help pay for the best post-production elements we can afford. The more we raise, the more we will spend on the project -- but you will still get your perk, even if we don't reach our funding goal.
