Jonathan Reich was a 22-year old New York citizen who was charged with a class C misdemeanor by the State of Connecticut, regarding the Sandy Hook incident, almost 3 years later corruption has been uncovered and unchecked in the Connecticut Judicial System. Upon careful consideration and investigation into his case, countless legal hurdles, and roadblocks have hindered and caused unjust cruelty to both he and his family for wrongful accusations on behalf of the Hartford Community Court and the Avon Police Department. The class C misdemeanor offense allegedly took place on 1/30/2013, and has been dragged out in court for 19 court dates to present day, 12/6/2015. The Hartford State's Attorney's Office has engaged in prosecutorial misconduct. There is an unjustified amount of legal fees and excessive bail cost, coupled with violations of his civil rights, which prevented him from operating a legal defense fund while under the counsel of Pullman & Comley LLC. The law firm of Pullman & Comley LLC, who was apparently unethically working against their client due to a conflict of interest with D. Robert Morris, another Pullman & Comley attorney, and manager the "My Sandy Hook Family Fund", were actually making financial distributions to the same entities as the complainants in this case. Alan J. Sobol and the law firm of Pullman & Comley LLC have since been fired. Collusion between various state departments, agencies, and media have allowed this to persist for almost 3 years while the class C misdemeanor should have been cleared by a single day of community service. This unethical and unprofessional behavior is preventing Jonathan's ability to defend himself in a court of law. The prosecution appears to be obstructing justice by withholding evidence through violations of Connecticut State Rules of Practice and State law.
As of December 2015, the State's Attorney's Office is withholding exculpatory evidence, has denied a motion for a speedy trial by jury, and has not produced discovery materials and police reports to the defense in violation of the Connecticut Practice Book.
Almost $50,000 in legal fees have been defrauded by the Bridgeport, Connecticut based law firm of Pullman & Comley LLC, without yielding any proper legal action made by the State of Connecticut. Counsel of Pullman & Comley LLC has since been terminated from the defense of Jonathan Reich. Please donate now to the Legal Defense Fund for Jonathan Reich's legal fees to seek justice, to know the truth, and to hold the State of Connecticut accountable for its actions.
An official and un-redacted version of the complete Connecticut State Police Sandy Hook Elementary School Shooting Report has been requested as exculpatory evidence through a discovery request, along with 27 other sources of evidence, by the defense counsel. The State of Connecticut has been non-compliant with receiving motions of discovery and a motion for trial by jury.
A previous legal defense fund had been terminated by order of the Assistant State's Attorney, Thomas J. O'Brien.
