Feisty. Catchy. Sweet sounding, but equally razor-sharp and sarcastic.
The music of Leonore, the five-piece band behind singer Chloë Nols, travels
peacefully from light to dark, until dawn breaks yet again. The band from
Brussels is currently working on its debut album, together with
first-class singer-songwriter Hannelore Bedert, top guitarist Thomas
Vanelslander (Gorki and Arno) and rock band Balthazar’s go-to engineer Filip
Tanghe as their producers. The album, seamlessly moving between mellifluous
acoustic tunes and the full-on sound of the band, will be released in September
2015, with your kind help and support.
THE FUTURE
Chloë: “Ever since we put our music out there, we get a lot of
reactions: from instructive feedback to heartwarming love declarations. We get
the feeling that we’re doing something meaningful and this strengthens us to
take a new step forward and to grow in a general way: by recording a debut
album.
But we need some help to actually record this
album. The music industry has changed a lot and musicians are supposed to
invest more themselves. We gladly accept this challenge, but ask for extra
support to actually record this record.”

You may notice that the amount we would like to collect with your help
won’t cover everything. We will need more than € 10.000 to fund this record,
but your help will go a long way and we will happily pay for the rest of the
costs out of our own pockets.

Poppie. Zoetgevooisd, maar ook scherp en sarcastisch. Leonore, de vijfkoppige
band rond zangeres Chloë Nols, speelt muziek dat stilletjes overgaat van licht
naar donker, tot opnieuw de dag aanbreekt. De Brusselse groep werkt momenteel
aan haar debuutplaat, met gerenommeerde singer-songwriter Hannelore
Bedert, topgitarist Thomas Vanelslander (Gorki en Arno) en rockband Balthazars
geluidsman Filip Tanghe. Akoestische nummers zullen elkaar moeiteloos
afwisselen met het intieme geweld van een volledige bezetting. De release is
voorzien voor september 2015, met jouw hulp en steun.

Chloë: “Sinds
we met onze muziek naar buiten komen, krijgen we heel veel reacties: van
constructieve feedback tot hartverwarmende liefdesverklaringen. We krijgen het
gevoel dat we iets betekenisvol doen, hetgeen ons aanmoedigt om een stap
vooruit te zetten en te groeien, in de eerste plaats door een debuutalbum op te
nemen.
We hebben
echter een beetje hulp nodig. De muziekindustrie is hard veranderd, waardoor
muzikanten meer zelf moeten investeren. We gaan met plezier die uitdaging aan,
maar vragen extra steun om het album effectief te kunnen opnemen."

Het
bedrag dat we hopen te verzamelen zal niet alle kosten dekken. We hebben meer
dan € 10.000 nodig om de cd te maken, maar met jullie hulp geraken we al
een heel eind verder en we betalen met plezier al de rest zelf.
