The Call of the Mountain is since 2006, an annual event open to any and all co creators of the world. It
is an experiential meeting that has been growing in diversity and
gathers and nurtures the exchange of experiences and sharing of visions,
strategies, practices and alternative tools and methodologies to
facilitate the transition to that world where many worlds coexist in
harmony and in which caring for life is guaranteed, because it is the
greater purpose.
In
January 2015 the Call of the Mountain will happen at the Misak University,
in Guambía, in the municipality of Silvia, Cauca, Colombia. This time
the Mountain call us to join a Minga of thoughts and territorialities;
so we will be gather in a Minga because it is the ancestral way to get
together and work, and we will join in councils of visions, we will
plant 800 trees to recover an important part of Misak's land and we will
enjoy learning from an ancient culture that is still alive.
We
want to ensure the participation of many representatives from
different community-based projects, people and communities, as many of
them we can convene; as for Colombia which manifests in this historical
moment is a wonderful opportunity to exchange experiences and visions to
co-create peace!

What we need
This is a non-profit event whose incomes barely cover the expenses, so we need
your support in order to bring, house and feed as
many indigenous, peasants, Afro-descendants, leaders of social, cultural
and environmental movements from all corners of
the country.
We need to move and accommodate many different elders of indigenous peoples who share their worldview in this territory so, their word would empower the process and the gathering
- if you give us $ 10 you give us encouragement,
- if you give us 20, we can transport a leader from the close by region,
- if you give us 50 we can bring and feed that person during the meeting,
- if you give 100 we can bring 2 persons
- with 200 we can bring someone from a more distant place
- 500 we can buy a plane ticket and
- If you give us 1000 we can bring someone from a distant Place that otherwise might never come

AYÚDANOS A REUNIR MÚLTIPLES LÍDERES INDÍGENAS, CAMPESINOS, SOCIALES, AMBIENTALES Y COMUNITARIOS
El llamado de la montaña es un encuentro anual desde 2006. Es un
encuentro vivencial que ha ido creciendo en diversidad, abierto a todas y
todos como co creadores del mundo a reunirnos a nutrirnos del
intercambio de experiencias y el compartir de visiones y estrategias,
alternativas, herramientas y metodologías y prácticas para facilitar la
transición hacia ese mundo donde conviven en armonía muchos mundos y el
cuidado de la vida está garantizado porque es el propósito mayor.
Todo esto con el fin de ir avanzando en el reconocimiento y
empoderamiento de una fuerza social viva capaz de manifestar los cambios
necesarios en los diferentes espacios, territorios y niveles de la
sociedad.
En enero de 2015 se realizará en La Misak Universidad en territorio
guambiano en el municipio de Silvia en Cauca y será una Minga de
pensamientos y territorialidades, una manera ancestral de encontrarnos y
trabajar juntos, y en esta minga, vamos a recuperar la tierra, porque
al recuperar la tierra lo recuperamos todo!
Queremos las participación de otros pueblos y comunidades, de la mayour
cantidad posible porque para Colombia lo que se manifiesta una
maravillosa oportunidad en el intercambio de experiencias y visiones
para co-crear la paz!
