Short Summary
My name is Michael Otten and I live in Kalispell, Montana. My friend is the owner of a local Book Store called "Kalispell Comics" which deals in art, literature and collectibles.
Without sharing personal details; he is having hard times made even harder since the store isn't getting enough attention despite having a good downtown location. My girlfriend and I are hoping to raise funds to build a bright, professional looking street sign to boost customer base and interest.
What We Need & What You Get
I'm an artist and designer and have already created an original high resolution sign graphic we believe will work well. Any contributors who don't wish to remain anonymous will be thanked and recognized with their names written on the inside of the sign.
How your funding will be used: - Locally print graphic on vinyl and have applied to sturdy sandwich-board signage probably weather-proofed wood.
- Buy city permit to place sign on Kalispell Main Street corner during the week.
- Remaining funds (if any) will be given to the store directly to be used at their discretion for promoting or maintaining the business.
Your Impact
These funds will help get a local business really going -- Kalispell is a rapidly growing industrial and tourist center near the border to Canada where the arts are well supported, and Kalispell Comics is the only store of its kind in the area! This sign will be displayed right on Main Street Downtown where thousands of people drive every day -- most of whom probably don't even know the store exists yet.
Even if you don't live near or visit the area, if you love comics or support local businesses or the arts, we will be so so grateful for even a few dollars in aid.
Other Ways You Can Help
You can help get the word around, but let's keep this a secret!! I would like to surprise the owner if possible, so please share it directly with individuals or organizations you think might be interested and not too publicly in case my friend sees it prematurely.
Thank you very much for taking the time to read this!
