LONGSHADOW And The Return Of Pulp Entertainment

Mike Murphy from Chibi Comics here. We're starting off 2022 with an epic illustrated pulp novel- Longshadow And The Prince Of Echoes!

Longshadow is an ogre detective-for-hire living and operating out of the small village of Coal On Brick. In the rowdy tavern known as Amber Glass, he takes on cases and often finds himself way over his head. Such is the case when a mysterious woman with mystic abilities calls on him to venture into the lands of Old Country. His task? To hunt down the deadly, vile being known only as the Prince Of Echoes. Accepting the job, Longshadow is catapulted into an adventure that will affect not only the rest of his life but the entire kingdom of Elos!

Prior to comic books, pulp novels and magazines were extremely popular and helped usher in the modern age of storytelling. Every character from Superman to The Witcher can be traced back to the pulps, which were filled with un-PC action, adventure, violence, and thrills you couldn't get in any other form of media.

Fast forward to today. Comics, and most of pop culture, have lost their way and grown stagnant. Thanks to the rise of independent publishing and Comicsgate, there's been a resurgence of interest in material designed to appeal to a wide audience craving FUN, and this is why it's the perfect time to BRING BACK PULP!

A Crowdfunding Campaign In The Spirit Of Pulp Production

Pulp literature was meant to be produced and consumed quickly. This is why our campaign is only going to run for a few months and fulfill in May of this year (2022).

The funding goal will cover the cost of interior spot illustrations- produced by our cover artist, Jeff Lasley- as well as printing and shipping. 80 of the planned 112 pages of prose writing are already complete. We want this book in your hands FAST.

Our main stretch goal (set at $8K) is a World Guide designed to emulate the look and feel of old D&D Monster Manuals. It will be filled with illustrations from some of your favorite independent/CG artists, including Peter Gilmore, Simon SIM Pothier, Six AM Comics, Celina Hernandez, Donal DeLay, Stefani Rennee, Passion 4 Drawing, and more!

All books will be printed at novel size (7.5x5.5)- these will not be the size of a comic.
