To make Malevolent possible, we need $70,000 to cover bare minimum costs. This money will go to paying the cast and crew, renting equipment such as lights, cameras, props, wardrobe, makeup, and sound. Additional costs include insurance, permits, post-production work, and food for the cast and crew.
Perks:
We have come up with a variety of unique perks that you can enjoy after making a contribution to this film.
-
The Film School perk: Behind the scenes videos with a step by step guide to filmmaking using our own film as a teaching tool. We'll show you rehearsals, table reads, out-takes, set meltdowns, diva moments… The good, the bad, and the ugly that goes into making a film. Nothing is too sacred.
-
The New Mexico Premier: Open to anyone who can be in the New Mexico/Albuquerque area for the film's premier. For $15 today, you will buy an extremely advanced ticket to the film's first screening which will include a Q & A with the cast and crew.
-
Film Props: Our lead actress, Mischa Dewalt, is a talented painter. She will be creating 3 exclusive paintings for the film that are key elements to the script. We are reserving these to give to our contributors. On top of that, we will also be using multiple ouija boards in the film. Own one today and we'll let you know what scene it was used in, and give you the option of having the cast and director autograph.
And many many more!
Why You Should Help:
Do you remember how terrifying horror films were as a child? That feeling of losing yourself in the story and having a cold shiver go down your spine? I have dedicated this film into bringing that feeling back. I want adults to watch this and relive that childhood fear. We have an unbelievably talented cast that is helping me make that goal a reality. My amazing producer, Phil Casaus, is helping me bring Malevolent to life. With his experience and my creativity, we are an unstoppable force. Be a part of the making of this film and help give our crew employment this summer and our cast the chance to showcase their talent in a big way. We're reuniting an award-winning team for this feature film. Please check out the short film that we put together, which is a scene taken from the feature script.
Do not be intimidated by these big ticket items. Your $1, $5, or $10 contribution will go a long way. For the price of a movie ticket, you can help make one.
Other Ways You Can Help:
We know money is tight these days…. (we wouldn't be here if it wasn't.) If you can't contribute monetarily, please share us to everyone you know! Check out our short film and share it if you like what you see!
